Craig Pierce

Born and raised on the East Coast, Craig spent his childhood sailing in Maine and all along the New England coastline. Starting with 8’ Turnabouts, he graduated to 15’ Mercury sailboats, 20’ J (junior) boats and ultimately crewed on 32’ Atlantic sailboats. He spent his summers working for various shipyards, including the Hinckley yard in Southwest Harbor where he got his first taste of offshore sailing, delivering and picking up boats for clients up and down the East Coast from Florida to Canada.

Growing up, his family owned a Hinckley Sou’Wester 30’, a Bermuda 40’ and (later) a Grand Banks 42’ Trawler. His first boat as an adult was a 36’ Ford designed Yawl (wood) that he sailed from Nova Scotia to Long Island Sound. Presently, he owns a 1978 Southern Cross 28’ which he keeps in Santa Barbara and sails whenever he gets the chance.

Professionally, Craig is a certified ASA sailing instructor and has been with Seacoast Yachts ever since he moved to Santa Barbara from the East in 2002. Prior to his move, Craig was a professional actor and voice over artist in New York City where he also taught sailing on Long Island Sound and Bay Head New Jersey.

Greg Weil

Greg started sailing at the age of seven and took his first power squadron course at age nine. Living near Lake Erie, he had the opportunity to experience all forms of boating, from canoes to large sailboats, in and around the Great Lakes. After sailing mountain lakes in Colorado, he relocated to Southern California and ultimately Santa Barbara County to be close to the ocean.

Greg started as a salesperson at Seacoast in early 2001, became broker about a year later and has continued to assist both sellers and buyers by representing their interests with a relaxed, yet professional manner.

Greg combines a love of the ocean with an ability to communicate to help clients to enjoy and understand their boats. He enjoys showing clients the Channel Islands and Catalina Island and sharing his knowledge of boating. He also volunteers at the Outdoor Santa Barbara Visitor’s Center on the fourth floor of the Maritime Museum Building, helping visitors understand and enjoy the outdoor activities we are so lucky to have in Santa Barbara.
