85’ Custom 1980 Schooner. (Hull finished 1978. Boat completed 1980.) Manufactured to be a very solid capable world cruiser. $145,000 Price reflects repair needs and navigation upgrades.

Some reported history. Initially was known as the Stella Serena, She has reportedly sailed to Tonga, American Samoa, Cook Islands, Hawaii. Completing five voyages to the South Seas.

Now known as the Ivy Celene. Sails at 7 ¼ knots as her average boat speed. Hull speed approximately 11 knots.

Deck is solid. Bottom has been maintained. New canvas needed for the cockpit helm and midship entrance. All stainless-steel fittings top deck are hefty solid and in good shape. The running rigging design can be handled with a shorthanded crew. Which in rough seas can reduce stress on the crew.

Fred Madlener designed and built the sailboat in Hawaii over a 12-year period. His binder with the instructions for each of the systems is included. He even included a page in it that shows where to reef the sails under different wind speeds. Based on the way this was built and the girth to it. This can be a very tempting boat. Has a great history to it’s build. Capable of being sailed around the world or have a bunch of fun coastal sailing by enjoying seeing what it can do on the water in varying conditions.
