ASTRAEA – 1979 CAL- 39   MK II

This classic 1979 Cal-39 is owned & operated by a knowledgeable Coast Guard licensed Captain and has been sailed over and back to Catalina over 100 times.  She is well-maintained in top condition and ready for new adventures.  Comfortable at sea, she cruises at 6 – 6.5 knots under power and over 7 knots under sail.  Sails are in excellent condition, including mainsail and the 140% genoa with Harken roller furler and she can easily carry full sail upwind in 20 knots of wind without reefing.  A 100% working gib and extra mainsail are included in the sale.  Main halyard is led to cockpit, and the boat is fully-rigged for symmetrical spinnaker with over-sized winches and extra spinnaker halyard winches with self-tailing winches on deck for mainsail reefing.
