Accommodations

The Ericson 35 MKIII features an interior with genuine teak cabinetry, a soft vinyl headliner, and a varnished teak/holly sole. Plenty of light and air from 2 opening hatches, 7 opening ports plus 4 fixed ports.

  • Forward, a private cabin features a comfortable berth with a custom-fitted mattress. A dressing settee lifts and doubles as a filler piece.  Abundant drawer space and adjacent hanging locker offer plenty of options for personal gear and attire. 
  • Aft to port the head compartment layout includes a vanity sink, locker storage, mirror, manual toilet (head pump needs rebuilding), and a separate shower compartment. Ventilation is provided with an opening port and solar vent. New Y valve for head installed 2021
  • The main salon is spacious, warm, and comfortable. There's a U-shaped dinette with seating for 5 and a comfortable lounging settee opposite.
  • To starboard, the U-shaped galley is outfitted with a 3 burner propane stove/oven, deep stainless sink, cold plate refrigeration, and large amounts of storage options. A locker door opens to a trash compartment located away in the cockpit locker.
  • Opposite the galley to port is a forward-facing nav station with electrical panels and electronics. 
  • Aft of the nav station is a  6'6" x 4' quarter berth with a port opening to the cockpit.

Hull and Deck

The Ericson 35 is a Bruce King design and like her sister the E-38, a great upwind performer with sea-kindly characteristics.  A robust tri-axle grid liner is bonded into the hull and engineered to collectively support the rig, keel, and engine while reducing overall weight. The house, topsides, and decks were painted with awl grip recently.
