Year 1997
Length 40 ft
Price
$124,500

Manitou has been upgraded recently with new standing rigging, new lithium batteries, a new dodger, new lifelines plus much more. The vessel is ready for a great summer cruising season.

"In his book, Choice Yacht Designs, Richard Henderson credits the inspiration of the Block Island 40 to the Sparkman & Stephens-designed Finnisterre, a centerboard yawl that won the Bermuda Race three consecutive times. That boat led to the production model Nevins 40, and later to several similar boats by other designers. The Block Island 40 and Hinckley Bermuda 40, both drawn by William H. Tripp, Jr., are the best known. All of these classic designs are stunningly beautiful examples of the now-bygone era of proper sailing yachts. They are incredibly sea kindly vessels with the visual elegance and grace of mythical goddesses. Manitou was built by Migrator Yachts, the most recent of the respected builders of the Block Island." 40. Manitou has been very well maintained and excellent example of classic boatbuilding.
