"Serenita" is a ready-to-fish or cruise. She recently underwent a complete refresh at La Costa Shipyard in Ensenada that included new hull and topsides AexSeal LP Paint, New bottom paint, New synthetic teak floors, New cutlass bearings, and shaft seals. Powered by 660 hp Cummins QSM-11 Diesels, "Serenita" will get you to the fishing grounds quickly.

"Serenita" has fished for tuna and billfish as far south as Costa Rica. In 2003 her knowledgeable owner replaced the Cummins Diamond Series 420hp diesels with the Cummins QSM-11 Diesels which gave her a cruise speed of 28 knots with a top speed of 32 Knots.

"Serenita" is set up for serious tuna and billfish with a side scan fishfinder, removable swim step, Rupp Outriggers, Live well,  30 Rocket Launchers, 13-rod holders, and 3 tuna tubes. A 40 Gallon-a-day watermaker and a fish freezer make for extended fishing trips.

Riviera Yachts Overview

Take in a peerless view from the top, fishing or blue-water cruising, in a classic Riviera flybridge design offering you fine ‘easy living’ lifestyle, over three levels.

It’s hard to say which aspect of the Riviera 43 Open Flybridge you’ll enjoy most … its capacity for superb entertaining, or great blue-water fishing. Almost certainly the answer will be “both”. Friends and family will revel in the spacious, well designed cockpit (with its ‘stair ladder’ to the flybridge), luxurious saloon, indeed every part of life onboard.

Luxury on a whole other level, class leading for a yacht of this size. Handcrafted, well considered, always welcoming. You’ll love retreating to the accommodation deck boasting your master stateroom and designer ensuite, located forward. Love treating your family and friends also to the full-beam guest stateroom aft, with its VIP ensuite doubling as the day head.

Accommodations

Entering the saloon through a hefty sliding door, you look all the way through the boat into the master stateroom in the bow, giving the impression that the boat is closer to 50 feet than 43. The saloon feels nearly as wide as the 15-foot-5-inch beam, an amazing feat, considering the wide walk-around side decks.

The interior is stunning with its traditional nautical pallet set against beautiful high gloss cherry cabinetry. She has a standard two-stateroom interior layout, featuring two full heads with stall showers. The master suite has a queen size island berth with a huge storage bin underneath and an ample private en suite head. The guest stateroom has very comfortable twin beds, also with its own private en suite head.

The galley, one step down from the salon dinette area and in addition to the listed amenities also has more storage than likely can be filled. The salon layout is very comfortable from its L-shape Australian leather sofa with plentiful storage underneath, to its perfectly placed dinette slightly forward to starboard with matching leather and a high gloss cherry table. Along the starboard side of the salon are found more large storage drawers and an icemaker and bar storage.

Regardless of your boating expectations, you feel right at home from the moment you step aboard the 43. Maybe it's the no-nonsense engineering and quality or the stylish, user-friendly layout that offers something for everyone.

Main Salon

The salon is very spacious and has the feeling of a much larger yacht. The seating areas are all covered in leather and are deep and comfortable to sit in. The woodwork is very nicely done with a combination of high gloss and matt finish. The mid-level galley is two steps down separate but also part of the salon area allowing the chef to still be part of the action. The salon seating area gives you very nice visibility to the outside world, so you can appreciate where you are. You have storage under the seating as well as the Hassock footrest. The Dinette is L-shaped with a nice-sized, high-gloss table that looks very inviting with its leather seating.

Mechanical and Sytems

Rivera's distinctive Australian pedigree and personality goes on display once the 43 is away from the dock. Though it's a muscular 35,000 pounds, the boats responds to a light touch, rewarding every command with well-synchronized, athletic moves, rising onto plane almost instantly with very little assistance from the small trim tabs. Cornering is crisp and assured, with no pounding and just the right amount of banking, even in beam seas.
