Troublemaker is a 35’ Schock masthead sloop, designed as a cruiser racer. She has been very successfully used for club PHRF racing throughout her life, whilst the current skipper has also cruised her.
In 2017 Wet Wednesday racing configuration, Troublemaker won both her class and overall trophy during a 30 + race series, completed in a wide range of weather conditions.
Troublemaker is configured for ease of single, double handed, and full crewed sailing. She was equipped with new Alpha Ropes, dyneema halyards and sheets in 2018.
Her smooth performance hull received new ablative bottom paint in late 2017. She a has a fine 17.5 degree bow entry angle for good penetration in a chop. With a high ballast displacement ratio of 45% and low displacement to length ratio, she has proven all round sailing performance. Troublemakers sail area displacement ratio is 22, which shows an ability for efficient sailing even in light air.
In cruising mode a new Force 10 propane stove, three auto tiller pilots, two whisker poles, and a kayak, are included in storage. An electric head is installed. A Fortress anchor with chain and three strand nylon rode is on board.
Troublemaker is highly recommended to sailors who wish to sail a versatile, performance orientated, mid sized cruiser racer.

The Lewmar and Harken, six winch layout suits single, double, and fully crewed operation Mainsheet, traveller, and adjustable backstay are also within reach of the helm. When sailed single handed, the jib sheets may also be trimmed by the helmsman. Sail controls are led to cockpit.
Two large volume storage lockers are adjacent to stern.
Spars, Rigging, and Sails
The aluminum double spreader rig is keel stepped. The fixed rigging is stainless rod, with the back stay upgraded to dyneema in 2018. At that time the original hydraulic backstay adjuster was replaced with a manually operated dyneema purchase system. In 2018, two Harken self tailing winches were installed within easy reach of the helm. This simplified system is reliable and avoids hydraulic maintenance issues, particularly if longer voyages are planned.
All new running rigging by Alpha Ropes dyneema halyards and sheets were fitted in 2018.
All blocks required are provided to rig for cruising or racing, plus three winch handles. Winches consist of:
2 Harken self tailing #46 2 speed, 2 Lewmar #48 3 speed, 2 Lewmar #40 self tailing.
One spinnaker pole and two whisker poles are provided.
Sails are sixteen synthetic and dacron sails are available, which range from average to excellent condition.
