The Islander 36 sloop is a fast family cruiser and optional weekend racer. With berths for six, providing ample room for close friends and family to come along on those wonderful sailing excursions. Anchoring up at a peaceful island cove, swimming, snorkeling, or visiting island parks and campgrounds that are only accessible by boat. Such a great way to get away and escape the crowds for a weekend vacation. Having the 2004 Universal Diesel Engine M25XPD 25 HP with only 204 hours adds a feeling of comfort and control. Adding to that, The I-36, as she is commonly referred to, is a strong, California-built, fiberglass-reinforced vessel with an early 1970s to 1984 manufacturing run of about 650 vessels. To make owning this boat even more fun, there is an active, California based, "Islander 36 association" the association that offers…. Well you can check it out if you like, Ive added a link. With a rigging refit in 2004 and lightly raced a few times, obviously aged, yet plenty of life left. The 3rd owner is passing her on for some one else to enjoy. The Equipment and Rigging set up can allow for some serious blue water sailing expeditions. Set up for long term travel, comfort and safety. Sail up and down the coast, or put some Island hopping on a weekend schedule, the life line netting around the deck provides an additional layer of safety, helping to keep things, people, or our pets on board. All used boats need work and this one is no exception. Needs some interior love mostly. Structurally she is sound. This boat can provide the foundation you’ll need for all of your sailing endeavors.

Schedule an appointment and check it out for yourself!
