Mechanical/Electrical/Ships systems

Power is provided by a pair of Detroit 8V71TI’s pared to Alison transmissions and 28×32 four blade bronze propellers. The Detroit 8V71TI’s are rated @ 430HP and as of May 2018, the engine room meters are showing 1546 hrs since the reported rebuilds  in the 1990’s by one of the prior owners (reported to the brokerage by the professional maintenance company whom has managed the vessel for two owners since 2002). The 46 with this engine package cruises at approx. 18-20 knots with an estimated burn rate of about 30 gallons an hour. The engine room is very clean, appears to be well maintained & organized.  Much of the ships systems are still as factory as the ships wiring is still in its original wire looms and color/number coded from the factory. Since this current owner has owned her he has had her on a professional monthly service plan done to maintain, service and make needed repairs ensuring safe voyaging at all times.

The electrical power is delivered by both AC and DC electrical systems with their prospective distribution panels and breakers. The heart of the AC system is the Northern Lights 18kw generator and the 2800 Watt, Outback inverter system.  The inverter was installed NEW in 2016 and it has its own dedicated set of 8 golf cart batteries (also new in 2016) ensuring that the inverter system does not accidentally drain the main house batteries while in use. The DC system is comprised of a very large house bank of batteries, a total of (4) 8D, 12 v batteries as well as (2) group 27 engine start batteries.
