The Macgregor 65 Pilothouse is one of the fastest production yachts ever made. It can motor and sail at up to 11 knots and can surf much faster, yet it is designed as a cruiser. “Freelance” has been extensively cruised by a couple and continuously updated. It has been modified so that it has copious storage and plenty of room to comfortably accommodate four to six people while cruising. She is in great shape, loaded with cruising gear and ready to go.

Comfort and Convenience

A custom stern arch with unique design, dinghy davits and motor mount makes it quick and simple to launch and retrieve dinghy. There is room on the arch for solar panels.
There is a dodger and a bimini. Additonal storage has been added including an enclosued storage unit with eight large drawers and laundry hamper in master stateroom and an enclosed storage unit consisting of eleven large well-ventilated drawers, upright tray compartment and two shelves in forward stateroom. Other features include Lunair air conditioning, a Sea Recovery Water maker (16 GPH), a built in TV and Sony radio/CD with 10 disc CD changer.

Double stainless steel sinks with a hot and cold pressurized water system, four burner gimballed propane stove with oven and Xintex control/alarm system, Technautiocs refrigeration with two compressors, one driven by the engine and one that runs off AC. Ice box is 9.3 cubic feet. Microwave/toaster oven. Corian countertop is a full 8 feet long.
