Paul Appleton | Seacoast Yachts

I was introduced to the Southern California Maritimes through sports fishing from the time I was five. No surprise, the Southern California Coastal atmosphere and harbors inspired my dream of owning a boat someday.

Intrigued by studies in air and sea navigation, I joined the US Coast Guard to become a navigator and Search and Rescue specialist. I learned my craft in piloting and precision navigation while aboard my first ship, USCG Cutter Spar, an ice breaking buoy tender, operating off the coasts of New England and Canada. Afterwards, I enjoyed sea time in Alaska, Hawaii and I served aboard the Patrol Boat, Cutter Point Divide in Newport Beach, CA. During my sea and shore duty, I learned about yachts and the pleasure craft industry from the perspective of a Seaman, Search and Rescue Controller, and Law Enforcement Mission Coordinator. I also enjoyed coastal sailing during my leisure time, making many crossings to Catalina Island and the Channel Islands.

I love working with people who are looking to sell and buy yachts. I strive to affect smooth, timely transitions with a persistent, hands on approach. Listening carefully, I build confidence and trust by addressing questions or concerns as they are presented. Years of experience at sea and knowledge of pleasure craft equips me to introduce or inspire yacht owners in hopes they too will enjoy many happy and safe days on the water.

Seacoast Yachts is an outstanding full-service yacht brokerage and I am proud to be serving buyers and sellers from our San Diego office.
