Channel Islands Harbor

 

Channel Islands Harbor Parade of Lights 

December 11

7:00pm 

Get wild this Christmas at the Channel Islands Harbor Parade of Lights, celebrating 55 years of tradition with this year’s theme, “Jingle Jungle.” Watch the festivities from the shore, or register your own boat for the parade by 4:00pm on December 11. 

 

Long Beach

You’ll find holiday excitement for the whole family with appearances by Santa Diver, holiday treats for animals, photo opportunities with Santa, Hanukkah storytelling, and a Kwanzaa celebration!

 

Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade

December 11

6:00pm-8:00pm

This sparkling holiday parade features brightly decorated boats, best viewed from Fisherman’s Village and Burton Chace Park. Make a reservation to watch from a waterfront restaurant or hotel, and don’t miss the all-day festivities at Burton Chase Park, beginning at noon with entertainment, snow, crafts and more before kicking off the parade with a fireworks display at 5:55pm. 

 

Newport Beach 

 

Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade

December 15-19, 6:30pm

A tradition more than 100 years old, you can see festively decorated boats of all kinds sailing along the harbor every evening from December 15-19th. Each night, the parade will begin at the east end of Lido Island. It is recommended to view the parade from Marina Park, with plenty of space to watch the fun, and options for dining with a direct view of the Christmas Boat Parade.  

 

San Diego 

 

San Diego Bay Parade of Lights

Enjoy this decades-long San Diego boating community tradition on its 50th anniversary! Delight in the approximately 80 boats lavishly decorated according to the year’s theme as they process between the pier at Cesar Chavez Park and Coronado. 

 

Sail with Santa and the Aolani Catamaran in San Diego Bay

December 11

10:45am or 12:00pm

Adults $75, Children $55

Departing from Sheraton Harbor Island Marina

During this 1-hour sail on a festively decorated 60’ sailing catamaran, passengers will meet Santa, and enjoy hot chocolate and holiday music. A portion of ticket proceeds benefit the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.  

 

San Pedro

 

LA Harbor Holiday Afloat Parade
December 4

6:00pm-8:00pm 

Watch approximately 50 boats of all sizes lit up in holiday splendor at the Port of Los Angeles Holiday Afloat Parade! The parade route starts near Banning’s Landing Community Center in Wilmington, and follows the Los Angeles Main Channel, ending at Cabrillo Marina in San Pedro. 

 

Santa Barbara

 

Santa Barbara Harbor Parade of Lights

December 12

5:30pm

Enjoy a little bit of “Magic Under the Moonlight” at Santa Barbara Harbor’s 45th Annual Parade of Lights, with around 30 spectacularly lit and decorated boats making their way from Ledbetter Beach to the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion, before doubling back to finish at Stearns Wharf with a fireworks show. There’s plenty of holiday fun to be had before the parade, too, with a Winter Wonderland at City Pier, elves, snow, and maybe even a special appearance by Santa himself!

 

Ventura Harbor 

 

Ventura Parade of Lights

December 17-18

4:00pm-8:00pm

Kick off the holiday fun with Harbor Village festivities, including carnival rides, gift shopping, performances, and more. The parade begins at 6:30pm, and will make two passes around Ventura Harbor before the grand finale fireworks display at 8:00pm.
