1953 Joel J. Johnson Classic Ketch

A beautiful Heritage traditional yacht. "Celie" has been well maintained and is in excellent condition.

She is narrow, deep, and lofty and she is a good traditional sailor. She is in "Bristol" condition with new teak deck overlay, bright varnished cabin sides, coamings, rails and transom, newly painted cabin top with non-skid, and gleaming yacht-white topsides, bulwarks and waterways. Topsides have been epoxy saturated. The rig was recently repainted.

Overall length is 51'6" and the length on deck is 40'1".

A true wooden classic diesel auxiliary ketch. "Celie" is an absolute " MUST SEE" to believe yacht.

Stem/Hornetimber/Sternpost: 8 inch oak.

Keel: Bronze bolted.

Rudder: Bronze post.

Deck: Original decking 1-1/4x1" laid caulked teak, covered with fiberglass over 3/8" marine plywood and glued laid and 3/8" teak (no fasteners).

Cabin: 1-1/4" solid teak.

Cabin Top: Fiberglass over marine ply on swan oak beams.

Cabinetry: Marine plywood and bright teak, teak sole.

NOTE: Topsides have been epoxy saturated.

Other:

• 1) Manual windlass.
• 2) Steering: Wheel via single worm gear unit to bronze post.

Drive: Hydraulic actuated marine reverse reduction gear. Three blade bronze fixed propeller. Stainless steel shaft. Engine Hours: 290 by meter.

Working Area: Down companionway and aft to starboard through a show piece varnished entry door to a full work around engine area.
