Accommodations
The interior is very nice for a boat of this vintage with lots of wood (all mahogany) and very good storage, and has 6' 2" headroom. The large windows provide lots of light and great visibility outside when at the helm or the dinette. The upholstery is in very good shape, the windows have been replaced and resealed.
There is a private v-berth foward. The large salon has a steering station and galley to starboard. Further aft there is a quality custom sofa which folds out into a double bed. To port is a dinette which converts to a double berth with storage underneath. The dinette is raised with allows a complete view outside while sitting at the table, a feature not found in many boats. Aft of the dinette is a tall countertop with hanging lockers and a chest of drawers below. Further aft is the head, which features a high quality WC toilet, new in 1996.

The galley has a large counter top with a stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water. There is a three burner LPG stove with and oven and a double-wide under-the-counter front loading refrigerator. There are two 5 gallon propane tanks, new in 1997.

Deck and Hull
This boat has a very nice deck layout with a very large cockpit (over 70 square feet), and a large flybridge which seats six. Both the flybridge and the cockpit have bimini tops and sun shades. The side decks are wide and allow easy access to the foredeck. There is a fiberglass swimstep and a stainless steel bow pulpit has added along with new bow railing which improves the lines of the boat and makes anchoring easier. A Simpson Lawrence electric windlass was added in 1997. Danforth anchor with 75 feet of 3/8 chain and 250 feet of rode. All the windows have been removed, the frames have been resealed, all damaged wood repaired, the old aluminum tracks replaced with stainless steel, and the windows replaced with safety glass. Most of the exterior paint was redone in 1999, the nonskid was replaced in 1998. Fishing gear includes a bait bag, four rocket launchers and four rodholders.
Engine and Mechanical
165 hp Perkins turbocharged, intercooled diesel with 2600 hours since rebuild. Between 1989 and today the engine was maintained by Brown's Engineering in Newport Beach. The boat will do 11 knots at 2100 rpm with a range of 300 miles. Over the last several years the owner has installed a new header tank, new exhaust manifold, new heat exchanger, new freshwater and seawater pumps, new turbocharger and has rebuilt the intercooler, injectors and injector pump. A new shaft and shaft strut were installed in 1995, a new V-drive in 1994, a Halon fire extinguishing system in 1994 and an oversized Racor fuel filter in 1994. There are electrical engine readouts at the lower helm, and there are also mechanical readouts in the engine compartment. Three bilge pumps.
Between the owner, Brown's Engineering, and Basin Marine, (who did most of the work on the boat over the last ten years) good maintenance records are available. When something needed to be done the owner did it, and did it right with high quality materials. There are many spare parts including a prop, a water pump and lots of filters.
