Description
A well maintained bluewater pocket cruiser.
New in 1999 Isomat aluminum deck stepped main and mizzen masts. These are significant upgrades and replaced the original boxed spruce wood masts. New 1999 stainless steel stays and shrouds as well as all new running rigging. Also new in 1999 were Dacron sails by T&A Sails - main and mizzen. Other sails include 120% genoa and a 100% jib.
Powered by Perkins 4-107, 48hp, four cylinder diesel engine, well maintained by current owner.
Also available is a copy of a marine survey completed November 2003 as well a copy of factory specifications on the Mariner 31, an Auxiliary Cruising Ketch.
This is a perfect bluewater cruiser and are increasingly hard to find.

Deck and Hull
Basic Constuction:Hull is extra thick fiberglass-reinforced polyester resin with 1/2" expanded Polyeurathane insulation. Deck and house of plywood covered with fiberglass and non-skid paint finish. Tempered safe-glass ports.
Note:Owner has completed a professional job of rebuilding the cockpit area, an area of some concern with Mariner Yachts.
Sails and Rigging
Rigging:All new/1999 1x19 stainless steel stays and shrouds as well as all new running rigging. All halyards and lines are lead aft to the cockpit for ease of single handling.
Sails: 1) Dacron main - New in 1999 by T&A Sails. 2) Dacron mizzen - New in 1999 by T&A Sails. 3) Bagged (hank on) 120% Dacron genoa. 4) Bagged (hank on) 100% Dacron jib.
Winches: 1) Primary port and starboard Mariner sheet winches. 2) Port cockpit/cabin top Lewmar #25 winch.
Engine and Mechanical
Major upgrades to engine in May 2003 including all new hoses and belts, heat exchanger cleaned and pressure tested, exhaust header sand blasted (decarbonized), new fuel lines and more.
Twelve inch D-LH-7"P three blade bronze propeller.
