“Endless Summer”
1974 Ericson Sloop
Specifications
Description
SOLD 3/2021
Bruce King designs are often praised for superb sailing ability and good looks, and this Ericson 29 is no exception with her pretty lines, clean, roomy interior, and easy sailing. "Endless Summer" is a reliable, well kept boat. The perfect blank canvas for someone looking to upgrade or customize for local Santa Barbara Wet Wednesday sailing or longer ocean voyages. She has a newer mainsail and was re-powered with a Westerbeke 25 hp diesel in 2010. Well maintained and simple to operate.
Notes on construction: Boat building in the 70's was known for the generous fiberglass construction which is why these simple classics stand the test of time. This small package is sleek and strong with a hull of reinforced hand-laid up fiberglass, a keel of internal ballast cast lead, the spade rudder hung on a 3-3/8” stainless steel rudder shaft, and a deck constructed of end grain balsa sandwiched between hand-lay up reinforced fiberglass.
