1974 Ranger

Well made boat with a good reputation as a good performing boat. Over the last five years the owner has put $40,000 into the boat including new LP and new gelcoat, new standing and running rigging, new electrical system including new panel, lighting and rewiring the entire boat, new Autohelm sailing instruments, new deck layout including new winches and cleats and new CNG stove. In addition, the interior cushions have been competely redone with high quality materials.

As you step below, there is a generous quarter berth to starboard with an ice box/navigation table just ahead with the L-shaped galley opposite to port. There are settees on both the port and starboard side of the salon, which also serve as single berths, and a fold-up table attached to the forward bulkhead. There are storage areas above the settee berths. Forward to starboard is a hanging locker and opposite to port is the enclosed head compartment. All the way forward is the removable V-berth with storage underneath. New interior cushions of the highest quality material and new 12 volt cabin lighting.

Brand new CNG stove, ice box and generous storage. There is a single stainless steel sink and a system for pressurized water. (New faucets and a new water pump have been installed, but some of the plumbing needs to be completed.)

New Autohelm sailing instruments (windpoint/windspeed and tridata depth/speed/log), two compasses.

Rewired 12 volt and 110 volt electrical systems including a new electrical panel, a Lewco automatic battery charger and two batteries.

New standing and running rigging. Mast was removed and reconditioned. Two mainsails, five headsails and two spinnakers all reconditioned. New canvas covers. There are four cockpit winches and three two-speed, self-tailing cabin top winches with three new 4-line Lewmar camlocks. Al lines are run to the cockpit.

Tiller steering, all halyards lead aft on cabin house through Lewmar rope clutches. Navtec backstay adjuster. The hull and deck were repainted with LP in 1995. New lexan installed in port lights and forward hatch. Cockpit cushions. Original Atomic 4 gas engine. Engine was checked out and tuned-up by professional mechanic early in 1999. Engine instrumentation includes oil pressure, water temperature and ammeter.

The owner began a complete refit when he got the boat about five years ago. Over $40,000 was spent. Owner will entertain all offers on this classic Gary Mull racer/cruiser.
