Description
In front of our office. This is a well-made boat, it is obvious that a lot of attention was paid to details during construction. Although some other brokers are listing this boat as a Blackman, we believe the hull was poured by "Cement Al" in a yard next to Blackman, and that Blackman was only involved in some of the interior work. With a full keel, heavy rigging, a spacious interior, lots of storage and good tankage she would make a great world cruiser. The boat has a ferro-cement hull, a polyurethane inner liner which makes the boat warm and quiet, and an epoxy paint outside coating. The boat is in good condition and has attractive lines. She is also a fast sailer and is extemely stable. A lot of boat for the money. A recent survey is available.

Accommodations
Entering the boat forward of the cockpit and down three steps is the upper cabin with the galley to port and a very large chart table with wraparound seating to starboard. The table can be folded down leaving a large berth outboard. This area is under the raised cabin trunk with large windows on all sides which provide excellent visibility. The navigation station can easily be used as a "pilothouse" when on autopilot in inclement weather.
Further forward and down two steps is the main salon. There is a large dinette which can seat six to starboard and a settee to port. Both can be used as berths. Further forward is a large head with a separate stall shower and a passageway to the forward cabin which has a split v-berth. One side is used as a berth, the other as a workbench, and there is an electic dryer there as well. This area could be converted into a double berth very easily.
Aft of the cockpit is a very nice and spacious aft cabin with an athwartships double berth, a head with shower, and lots of built-in cabinetry. The cabin is separate from the rest of the boat and is entered at the back of the cockpit.
The interior has lots of nice wood. The joinery work is exceptional and there are many built in drawers, cabinets and hanging lockers. The original builders were obviously very concerned about providing adequate storage. The interior wood, cushions and carpet are all in good condition.
Head room average about six feet. There are three electic heaters and a Force 10 diesel heater. There are also a number of opening ports thoroughout the boat.

Electrical
The electrical system is very well designed and the workmanship is excellent. There are AC and DC panels and the helm instrument panel is extremely well done. There is a Sea Lion diesel and an inverter for AC power and six house batteries, two starting batteries and a separate battery for the generator, along with a shorepower cord and battery charger. The generator is a small one cylinder Onan located in the back lazarette.
Deck and Hull
Full keel. Bottom was painted in June of 2000. The cockpit is very well protected while still providing great visibility. The fore and aft cabin trunks, the dodger on the forward cabin and the high sides created by the recessed cockpit floor all combine to provide plenty of protection from the elements. There is also a boom tent/bimini top. The nonskid decks are flat and open with lots of room, easy to move around on.
Sails and Rigging
Ketch rigged with large spruce spars and heavy duty rigging designed to take on any conditions. There are plenty of extra sails and they are all in good condition.
