1975 CT 41 Ketch

This boat has been owned and operated by the same owner for the last 14 years and has undergone extensive modifications to enable her to be a solid offshore cruising vessel. She far exceeds the standards when compared to a stock vessel of her kind. All poor grade materials have been replaced with high grade materials. She shows true pride of ownership and should serve a new owner well for years to come. Besides upgrading all the systems the entire cabin trunk was rebuilt and redesigned. The interior is larger with a larger custom galley and a huge forward stateroom.

Sleeps four in large forward V-berth and in port and starboard settees in main salon. There are also two pipeberths port and starboard in the main salon suitable for small children. The forward stateroom was expandedwhen the house was completely rebuilt in 1985 and is huge. The V berth is forward as usual, but there is a fullsix feet of space between the berth and the cabin door. Cabinets, drawers and hanging lockers run along theentire starboard side of this area. On the port side there is a large head with a manual toilet and a large,separate stall shower. The head can also be entered from the main salon through a separate door.The main salon has dinette with a folding table to port, which can be used as a berth, and another settee/berth tostarboard. There is a bulkhead mounted Force 10 heater and lots of storage. Just aft of the main cabin tostarboard is a navigation table and a large instrument panel. To port is a large functional U-shaped galley. When the house was rebuilt this area was expanded to include a breakfast nook with a small table and benchseat. Numerous extra-large Bomar ports provide lots of light throughout the boat.

Beautiful enlarged U-shaped galley with lots of counter space including a fold-up shelf, large double stainlesssteel sink with hot and cold pressure water, an on-demand hot water heater which can also be used as a cabinheater, a four burner propane stove with oven, a well insulated freezer and a separate refrigerator, a keroseneheater and a microwave. A small table with seating has been added in the aft part of the galley.

Standard Horizon 25 watt VHF, Signet wind speed and windpoint indicators, Signet knotmeter/log (new in 1997),Signet depthmeter, Signet bilge alarm, AM/FM stereo cassette, Ritchie 5 binnacle mounted compass, Airglide 21/2 compass at navigation station, ships clock and barometer, Aires wind vane/rudder self steering, Xintex S-2Avapor detecter/alarm.

The electrical system has been rewired and thoroughly upgraded. The 110 volt AC system has a 30 amp shorepower cord, a Trace 1500m 1.5KW inverter/battery charger, and galvanic decay protection. The 12 volt DCsystem includes house bank of #4 Trojan L-16 6 volt deep cycle batteries (two pair, 350 amp hours each for atotal of 700 12 volt amp hours), one year old and well maintained. The starting battery is a Trojan C31XH2 witheliminator isolation system. 110 amp alternator with regulation wiring all new in 1996. Ancor nonmetallicsheathed with Anchor fittings. Two Arco 55 watt solar panels with regulator and diodes new in 1997The entire system is wired to an Ample Power computerized energy monitoring and control system.

The cabin trunk was completely removed and professionally reworked, expanded and strengthened in 1985. Allhatches and ports were upgraded. The larger cabin and the smaller custom cockpit were designed with bluewater sailing in mind. The topsides have new awlgrip and have been freshly waxed, buffed and polished. Cockpit has large, deep lockers. There is a huge 45 gallon holding tank with level monitor and alarm. Thebottom and paint are reported to be in good condition.75 hp Volvo diesel rebuilt in 1995 and has about 500 hours. Other equipment includes Pur Power Survivor 35watermaker, oversized Belmar windlass with 300 feet of chain and rode, oversized bilge pump with Ultra switch,a separate shower sump pump. All plumbing has been upgraded. Fuel tanks have been recently polished.

The boat was bought by the current owner from the original owner in 1984 and he completely refit andrefurbished the boat to go cruising, but never went. The leaks, the electrical problems and all other problemstypical of Taiwan made boats have been eliminated. All the work done is professional and high quality.
