SIGNIFICANT PRICE REDUCTION

Designed by Bruce King as a local cruising boat and good club racer. Over thirteen hundred of these boats were built in the 70's, They remain a popular boat for first time buyers and to sailers looking for an easy to handle sail boat.

Ordinarily wheel steering in a 27 footer is a goodie.

Accommodations for five in a clean well laidout interior. She is well equipped and ready for a new owner. Current owners have moved up to a larger boat.

Accommodations and Layout

Coming down the companionway, the galley is to port, forward to a settee, then through the bulkhead to a hanging locker, then through the second bulkhead to the V-berth. Coming aft through the bulkhead is the enclosed head (across from the hanging locker), then through the main bulkhead to a pull out settee and then aft to the quarter berth.

The interior is very clean and is comlete with tastefull cushion material and carpeting. The salon table is mounted to the starboard bulkhead and drops down with drop leaf extension. There is a spice rack behind the mounted table. The salon table when down is accessable for seating from both the port and starboard settees.

Galley

The galley is to port as you come down the companionway and is equipped with:
  • 1) Stainless steel sink with hand/foot pump.
  • 2) Top loading ice box,
  • 3) Alcohol two burner stove.

Electronics & Navigation

  • 1) Standard Horizon VHF.
  • 2) Raytheon 550 Loran Navigator.
  • 3) Ranger depthsounder.
  • 4) Knotlog.
  • 5) Navico autopilot - Tiller model and operates in the forward cockpit area by removing a panel and installing the emergency tiller, then hook up - a simple easy installation and great when going any distance like to a from Catalina.

Electrical

  • 1) 12vdc system.
  • 2) 110vac system.
  • 3) Shorepower outlet with power cord.
  • 4) Two new marine batteries.
  • 5) Addition of two reading/salon lights mounted on the forward bulkhead (one to port, one to starboard).

  • 1) Two Barlow #24, two speed self tailing winches.

Deck and Hull

The aft cockpit area has a cross port to starboard divider by the wheel and provides a separate area for the skipper.
  • Hull: Hand laid up fiberglass.
  • Deck: Fiberglass with molded non skid.
  • Anchors: Danforth bow anchor with chain and rode.

Engine and Mechanical

Very well maintained Universal, Atomic IV gas engine. (See enclosed photos)
  • 1) New prop shaft.
  • 2) New dripless packing gland.
