Description

This rare offering of the Bruce King Designed Cruising Cutter with her Clippered bow,clean Flush deck and family friendly large aft cockpit looks like a Classic Cruising Cutter. But her fin keel moves her through the water like the modern sailor that she is. Below decks,she has the room of a 40'footer with lots of wood and a teak cabin sole. She has new sails (2000), freshly redone Tredmaster deck, new standing rigging (2001) and a repowered ('85) Universal 24HP engine in excellent running condition. This boat has been lovingly maintained and upgraded by her owner. A Santa Barbara slip is available with this boat.

Construction

Hand laid molded fiberglass hull(FRP). Decks and and cabin are uniformly laminated sandwich construction (FRP) with end grain balsa core. The deck,cabin and cockpit areas are uniformly laminated and bonded to the hull by overlapping joints. The joint is bonded, sealed and mechanically fastened. The keel has an internally mounted cast lead ballast.

Accomodations

The Forward cabin has 6'3" Vee Berth with a small hanging locker to port. The Main Salon has a convertible Dinette to port that converts to a double bed and a setee to starboard that would be an acceptable sea berth. There is a working Kerosene Cabin heater mounted on the port bulkhead.The Main Salon Ceiling has been recently upgraded to white Fiberglass to brighten the interior and reduce maintenance. Aft is a double stateroom(w/hanging locker) that opens to the enclosed navigation station which could also be used as a dressing area.

Enclosed Head

The head is aft on the port side with dual entrances from the Main Salon and the Aft Cabin. There is a Raritan Manual Head w/6 Gallon holding tank.
