Description

Over 700 Islander 36's were manufactured. This extremely popular Gurney design is a solid sailing boat that stands up well in a breeze. This particular boat has an outstanding interior of light teak wood and upholestry decor. With a Perkins 4-108 diesel she has exceptional power. Full dodger and dark green covers. Includes dingy and outboard.

Accomodations

Starting forward is the V berth, and immediately aft to port is the large enclosed head. Opposite head is hanging locker with storage outboard. Aft to starboard in the main cabin is a settee berth with storage outboard and further aft is U-shaped galley. The dinette is to port with a second settee berth and a fold-up centerline table. Port settee converts into double berth. Further aft is the navigation area followed by a large quarter berth. The interior is highlighted by light teakwood and attractive countertops, upholstery, drapes and carpeting. There is 6' 2" headroom.

Galley Equipment

Single stainless steel sink with manual fresh and salt water. Gas Systems propane stove with oven, large ice box and generous storage.

Electronics and Navigation Gear

Wheel steering, Autohelm autopilot, Ritchie 5" binnacle compass, West Marine VHF radio. Other binnacle mounted instruments include new Standard Horizon fathometer, Signet knotmeter and Signet wind direction. Engine instruments include oil pressure, tachometer, water temperature and fuel gauge.

Electrical System

12 volt DC system with three group 27 batteries and a Lewco alternator charge control 110 volt AC system with portable battery charger and shore power cord.

Sails and Rigging

Main sail and 150% roller furling genoa, both with covers. Additional 115% genoa. Lewmar 45 three-speed primary winches on the cockpit combing and Lewmar 10's mounted on the mast for halyards.

Deck and Hull Equipment

There is a swim ladder that folds up the transom into the stern pulpit. There are cushions for the cockpit, full dodger and canvas covers for the wheel, companionway, winches, etc. Canvas is dark green and in good condition. The side decks are wide and the cabin house is low profile and compliments the lines of the boat.
