Deck and Hull
This is an all fiberglass vessel, no plywood in the decks, all the windows have been removed and resealed, she was repowered with American Diesels engines that have had very little use, and show as new. Access ports have been added to the tanks and they have been cleaned internally. An extensive haulout included stripping below the waterline gel coat and application of an epoxi barrier coat. All thru-hulls were serviced, imron polyurathane paint top sides paint job. The interior is very clean and includes new cushions and matteresses, a corian counter top in galley, vacuflush head, flat screen television, new VHF marine radio, a 2500 watt inverter.
A true displacement trawler with a distinctive flush deck profile, the DeFever 43 Pasagemaker is built of solid fiberglass with a deep keel, moderate beam and simulated lapstrake hullsides. Note the 40,000+ pounds of displacement and tremendous fuel and water tankage make this is a serious offshore cruiser with an honest 2400 mile range. The flush deck layout of the DeFever 43' results in a very large afterdeck (with room for a dinghy) while still maintaining adequate headroom in the master stateroom below. It also provides for a spacious engine room with near standing headroom and excellent outboard engine access. Her two stateroom floorplan is arranged with a U-shaped galley aft in the salon--- an ideal layout in a cruising boat of this size. Teak paneling and parquet floors are used throughout the interior. The flybridge has adequate guest seating abaft the helm. The 139 hp twin American diesels will cruise this vessel effortlessly at 8-9 knots which is a very confortable speed while at sea. (Low hours).
