Description

The Bombay Explorer hull was originaly built for the Canadian Cup. This company designed and built a new deck and marketed a fast, strong cruiser. WINDSPIRIT has a great layout for cruising and a Perkins 4-154. This fixer upper could enable someone to enjoy the cruising lifestyle on a limited budget. RECENT MAJOR PRICE REDUCTION 2/11/2000

Accomodations

Forward Vee berth followed by head with shower. The main salon has a large centerline table and two straight settees. The table doubles as a storage locker. There is a head to port with a forward facing door into the salon and another door into the master cabin, which is further aft. The aft cabin is large and has a second door to the companionway. The galley is on the starboard side and is well laid out in a passageway configuration.

Galley Equipment

110V Refer/freezer (there is an engine driven compressor but needs replacing), Hillerange S/S 3 burner propane stove with oven, hot and cold pressure water.

Electronics and Navigation Gear

Loran, Kenwood 430 Ham radio, Polaris VHF, Datamarine speed, distance and depth, Autohelm 5000 autopilot, compass and stereo.

Electrical System

Sails and Rigging

Aluminum spar stepped on deck, S/S standing rigging, Harkin roller furling, whisker pole, 3 sails: main, jib, staysail. 4 self-tailing Barient winches, 3 standard winches, backstay adjuster, boom vang.

Deck and Hull Equipment

3 anchors, 45 Lb. CQR, 25 lb. plow, 25 lb. Danforth. 300 feet chain, Simpson Lawrence electric windlass, 10 opening port lights, 7 opening deck hatches, very large cockpit with double wing folding table, cockpit bimini.

Additional Equipment

Wheel steering, 2 automatic and manual bilge pumps, manual holding tank. Engine access is very good and it does not show evidence of rust or corrosion. The engine was overhauled 1500hrs ago. There is a feathering MAX PROP installed and a spare fixed blade prop included.
