1979 Formosa Center Cockpit***

NOT YOUR USUAL FORMOSA, this fin keel skeg-hung rudder underbody sails very well! The "Sparkler" has been featured in a year long series of articles in Santana during her Mexico cruise in 1997. An extremely seaworthy vessel with two staterooms, full headroom throughout, 1995 diesel engine which was rebuilt in September of 1998 and all the cruising gear you need. The interior room aboard is amazing for this size boat. Some of the equipment includes windlass, dingy davits, dodger, covers, GPS, Loran, refrigeration, radar, Autohelm 4000 autopilot, inverter, wind/tow generator, four golf cart batteries plus starting battery, dingy and outboard, Harken roller furling.

The boat has a great layout and feels much larger than a typical 34 footer. Forward is v-berth with hanging lockers and cabinets on both sides. There is plenty of room to stand and change with the door closed. Main salon has L-shaped settee and a drop-leaf table to port and another settee and Cole wood burning fireplace to starboard. Further aft to port is the galley which also serves as the pass-thru to the aft cabin. On the starboard side is a small chart table and then a large head with a shower and tile counter The head can be entered from the main salon or the aft cabin. The aft cabin has a full-sized double berth athwartships with two hanging lockers and plenty of storage. The cabin has two opening ports, an overhead hatch and another large port to provide plenty of light. There is 6 3 headroom throughout and lots of nice wood cabinetry, paneling and trim.

Adler Barbour 110/12 volt refrigerator/freezer, double stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water, three burner gimboled propane stove with oven, tile counters and custom umbilical faucet.

Autohelm 4000 autopilot with wind articulator, Raytheon 1200 radar, Apelco Loran, GPS, Signet SmartPak depthmeter and wind point/wind speed, Mariner knotmeter, West Marine VHF, ships clock and barometer, extra compass at nav station, Kenwood AM/FM stereo cassette with cockpit speakers. Masthead tricolor light has been added. EPIRB.

12 volt DC system with four golf cart batteries plus a starting battery, 2500 watt Trace inverter/charger, 20 amp wind or tow generator, volt meter and battery indicator meters. 110 volt AC system with shore power cord and outlets in head and galley.

Harken roller furling, fresh genoa with window, strong main with two reef points (jiffy reefing). Two Meisner 21ST self tailing genoa winches, two #30 mainsheet winches, two halyard winches. Oversized standing and running rigging. Lazy jacks. Mast has been recently LPd.

Fin keel with skeg hung rudder. Center cockpit with teak decks which are in good condition. Deck is one level and gives easy access around the boat. Dodger, dingy davits, double lifelines with stern and bow pulpits, two outboard holders, two rod holders. Canvas covers for all brightwork, cockpit combing, toe rail, handrails, steering pedestal, and dingy. Large double hatch anchor locker, stainless steel boarding ladder.

Three cylinder Volvo diesel installed in 1995. Halon fire extinguishing system, BBQ, new Ideal electric windlass (not installed), 35 pound CQR anchor, two Danforths and lots of chain and rode for all the anchors. Sea anchor, man overboard pole and life ring. Includes 9 6 West Marine sport boat with 7.5 hp Evinrude outboard.
