Description

This boat is and exceptional example of Robert Perry's center cockpit cruising yacht designs, combining excellent interior accommodations with high-performance bluewater sailing characterisitics and it has had extensive upgrades and improvements over the last few years. Teak decks have been refastened. New dodger, bimini and enclosure. Complete hull work including fairing, LP paint, bottom paint and epoxy barrier coat was done in 1997. At that time a reverse transom sugar scoop was added to the boat. The engine and transmission were overhauled in 1997 and have less than 200 hours since then.

Accommodations

Sleeps seven comfortably. 6'6" V-berth is forward with hanging locker and good storage. Aft to port is large head with shower. Head can be accessed from forward cabin and from salon. Across from head is hanging locker and storage. The large salon has curved settee to starboard and an extension settee to port separated by a drop-leaf table. The dinette and table can accommodate eight people. Further aft there is a U-shaped galley to starboard and a navigation station to port. A built-in reading chair is just aft of the nav station. The passthrough to the aft cabin is to port past the companionway and nav station. The aft stateroom has a huge centerline queen-sized berth with a $1500 mattress which was new in 1999. There is lots of shelving and storage, including a good-sized centerline vanity. To starboard is the head with a separate shower. 6'3" head room throughout. AM/FM stereo/cassette with 12 disc CD changer, including adjustable cabin speakers and cockpit speakers. New white headliner throughout. The interior is in excellent condition. The upholstery was redone in 1999. All the ports were replaced and the interior wood was reskinned, also in 1999. Teak and holly cabin sole has clear epoxy and spar varnish.

Galley

Three burner stainless steel propane stove with oven, built-in microwave, new Supershot hot water heaterwith engine transfer,new Shurflo pressure water pump with large accumulator tank. All new plumbing in galley and both heads.Large reefer and seperate freezer with engine-driven Technautics 6" cold plate and new 5" insulation, new Technautics 12V unit with temperature control, auto shut off and high pressure cutout. New Corian counter tops, double stainless steel sinks with new Price/Pfister faucet with sprayer.

Electronics

Seperate nav station with chart table and swiveling chair. New Garmin 180 GPS/chart plotter, new Raytheon Pathfinder SL70 Radar, new Horizon Intrepid VHF with DSC and cockpit RAM microphone, new Raytheon ST 6000 Autopilot, new NEXUS SYSTEM integrated instruments with knot metor, fathometer, wind direction, wind speed,server, multi-display and wind data display, 5" Ritchie compass.

Electrical

New 2000 watt Heart Freedom 20, inverter/charger. New Link 2000 battery interface. All seven 110V AC outlets are GFI and can be inverter or dockside powered. New dockside 30 amp power cables with storage bag. Honda 1000 watt Honda portable generator. 12V (660 amp) via six deep cycle Trojan batteries in enclosed battery box. New Leece/Neville 110 amp alternator with spare 85 amp alternator. !2V power outlet at nav station.

Sail and Rigging

All new Morrelli Performance sails, Main: 489 sqft., full-batten, 9- ounce, 2 deep reef points, triple stitched, leech line. Genoa: 120%, 658 sqft., 9-ounce, foot/leech lines. Staysail: 180 sqft., 9-ounce, wire luff, built strong to be used as storm staysail. Spare storm staysail w/wire luff. Red/White/Blue spinnaker. New Selden 300S Furlex roller reefer on new headstay. New Harken traveler on main with 4:1 purchase. Manual boom vang, 20' spinnaker pole, 11 SS Cheo-Lee winches. Three new Stayset X halyards. Painted hollow-boxed wooden spar stepped on deck with running backstays. New white sail, binnacle and winch covers.

Deck and Hull

Fin keel and skeg-hung rudder. Complete hull work including fairing, LP paint (cranberry red), bottom paint and epoxy barrier coat was done in 1997 (no blisters reported). At that time a reverse transom sugar scoop was added to the boat creating a swim platform and improving the performance and aesthetic appeal of the boat. The bottom paint was also done in 1999. The teak decks were rebedded, refastened and replugged in 1999. New dodger, bimini and cockpit enclosure in 1999. Radar pole has crane for easy lifting and storing outboard on Edson motor mount.

Engine and Mechanical

The Isuzu diesel and transmission were overhauled in 1997. Also at that time there was a new Martec folding prop, prop shaft and coupling. There is also a new 11'9" Zodiac inflatable sport model rated for 30 HP, with E-Z installing aluminum floorboards,seat, bow bag, nav lights, oars, cover and lifting sling. New Susuki 15 HP OB. Sea Wolf Simpson-Lawrence electric windlass. Dual SS bow roller. New 66 lb Bruce anchor with 250 ft of new 5/16" high test chain and 200 ft of 5/8" nylon rode. Fortress FX37 stern anchor with 30 ft of 5/16" chain and 250 ft of 3/4" nylon rode. 250 ft of 3/8" "storm chain" under aft bunk. 36" SS roll stabilizer with wire pendants. New 35' 3/4" docklines.
