Specifications
Description
DE LAICEPS is a 1981 Mariner Mayflower 48 — a proven bluewater ketch cruiser with a solid fiberglass hull, now turn-key for serious offshore voyaging after a major 2023–2024 refit.
Refit highlights: new tri-radial Ullman Sails main and mizzen with full-batten upgrades and additional reefs (2024); complete standing rigging replacement on both masts by Seatek Yachting Inc., including new Harken MK3 furler, headstay, halyards, and mainsail track and slides (2024); SeaMaker 40 GPH watermaker (2024); new Hydrovane self-steering wind vane (2024); four 200W solar panels with Victron controller and CoolBlue refrigeration (2023).
Below deck, the comfortable two-stateroom layout sleeps six, with a double berth in the forepeak, convertible salon settees, and an aft master cabin with king berth and private head with separate shower. Large U-shaped galley, dedicated navigation station, and washer/dryer.
Electronics include Raymarine chart plotter and radar — older units, both fully working. Powered by a Perkins 4236 85 HP diesel; engine hours unknown, service history available from the owner.
A heavily refit, genuinely cruise-ready example of a respected offshore design.
