Welcome Aboard Recent new LP Paint, this vessel has been constantly upgraded and maintained. The Wavelength 30 was designed with the MORC rule in mind. Her Sistership -SCHOCKWAVE was World ½ ton champion as well as MORC-Champ.She was built to be fast and stable in all types of conditions. Her large masthead rig and high ballast ratio will assure excellent performance over a wide range of conditions. Her long, fair lines will allow the boat to handle assuredly during the most severe conditions. Engine and batteries are located over the keel for excellent weight distribution and balance, which also keeps her from rocking. Not lost on the designer is the proper utilization of interior space, she is very large inside for a 30 footer and features all the proper comforts of a much larger vessel.
THIS IS NOT A SANTANA 30 This is NOT a Santana 30. She has a taller mast. The hull is different with a longer waterline, wider beam and she has an open transom. Some of the other differences include a full interior, better and more winches and a much bigger engine. This a much better boat with a better PHRF rating of 114.

Accommodations and Layout
The Wavelength interior accommodations are spacious and well thought out. 6 berths make it comfortable to race or cruise. 2 in a forward vee-berth with sail storage under and an enclosed head, 2 in the main salon with additional storage under and 2 quarter berths in the after-section that are a great place to sleep while underway. In addition there are storage cabinets on both sides of the main salon for food, safety items and misc. Engine sits in the middle for better weight distribution and makes the base for the dining table
Galley
A fully gimbaled Origo stove is to Starboard along with storage cupboards and a very deep stainless sink with pressure water is to Port, in addition to cupboards. RED/WHITE fluorescent lights over each counter and over the main cabin give great day or night illumination for cooking or reading
Electronics & Navigation
Garmin 120 XL fixed mount GPS in the Nav. Area as well as a complete Signet System- 1000, 1500 and 2000 give you Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Knot meter , Knot Log, Depth sounder and race timers.
Electrical
SYSTEM A heavy gauge 12 volt ships electrical system has been upgraded with the addition of a second breaker panel, new marine grade wiring and the installation of a 110/Shore power system with GFI and 2 outlets for charging and use of a dockside heater built-in under stairs. 2 TROJAN 6-volt golf cart batteries (NEW 5-04) make up the house system and a new TROJAN(5-1-04) 12 Deep-cycle is used for the engine battery. A High Output Leece-Nevile Alternator quickly charges up both systems when over at the island and a West Marine 20-Amp fully automatic 3-stage charger keep the batteries topped off when tied up at the dock. Custom Battery box sits forward of the engine amidships, keeping the weight in the center of the boat for better balance. Lights in the main salon, head, vee-berth, galley and sink are all red/white capable for better night vision
Sails and Rigging
A very tall two spreader masthead rig features an internal dual-sheavebox for headsail/spinnaker handling efficiency. Mast step is part of an aluminum Engine/mast/Rig truss, which handles all of the rig loads and spreads it into the hull safely. All halyards are internal, turn at the mast base and are led aft to the cockpit. All Halyards are wire/rope spliced, color coded with snap shackle ends and were new in 1998. All running rigging was replaced in 1999 and further upgraded in 2000. Running backs and a baby-stay give support upwind for cruising in bad weather and offer additional sail control for racing. Forestay and Headfoil unit were replaced in 1997(Navtec), shrouds were replaced in 1989. Boom features an internal 4:1 outhaul with a ballbearing car as well as internal 1st and 2nd reef points which are all led back into the cockpit. A new Ullman Kevlar mainsail was added in 1998 but not used until Dec. of 99. Spare Kevlar mainsail-fair, additional sails are: Light Mylar 150 good, Heavy Mylar 150 fair, Kevlar 135 excellent, Kevlar 110 excellent.
Deck and Hull
A fresh new AWL-GRIP LP paint job was done in Newport at Basin Marine in May of 2004, the bottom was coated with 3 coats of Trinidad and 4 coats at the waterline while out of the water at the same time. The deck layout, with its wide side decks, large foredeck, roomy cockpit and 6 well laid out two-speed winches, meet the needs of the racing crew as well as the family cruiser. Full cockpit cushions make it comfortable to sit and a complete set of sheet bags in the cockpit with pockets help keep it all organized. Fully color coded running rigging (new in 1998 & 2000) led into the cockpit give everyone a chance to participate with ease. The deck received a new coat of non-skid in July-2000 with a touchup in 2004 as well as a new forward hatch May-2004
Engine and Mechanical
A newly rebuilt (12-99) Universal 24 hp diesel replaces the old 6hp BMW that comes standard in all of the older Schock boats like the 30/30 and Santana models. For additional peace of mind a dual-500 Racor filter system was installed, with the ability to switch from one to the other while under power. In July of 2000 a new cutlass bearing was installed along with new teflon packing and a new Shaft-Log hose for years of trouble free service. The engine currently has 40 hrs on it since overhaul.

A very fast Racer and a comfortable cruiser that has be properly maintained and continually upgraded over the years is ready for a new owner. With "Afterschock" you can go out and win trophies as well as spend time enjoying our Southern California Coast. A new awning that covers the entire cockpit with side curtains is also included so you can enjoy those days at the Island. In addition a Fortress FX-16 with chain and Line will hold you when your not near a mooring (Anchor, chain and line never in the water.)
