1982 Spindrift Pilothouse

This 1982 Spindrift Cutter is a masterfully designed boat, with good bones and lots of new
equipment and extras. With a little effort to put the pieces together you will have a beautiful
deep water cruiser, suitable for sailing the globe or living aboard in your local harbor. Highlights
include a beautiful, spacious teak interior with extra touches like a circular staircase in the
companionway, carved woodworking, large portholes for plenty of light, and a small warming
stove for heat and ambience. A Ford Lehman 80HP engine has new injectors and only 360 hours
of running time, and bow thrusters have been installed for extra ease in maneuvering. All sorts
of extras come with this boat, including a brand new (still in the box) 10’ Delphinus inflatable
dinghy and Mercury outboard engine. A new Harkin reversible winch, thermal imaging system,
radar system, water heater, and marine toilet are still in boxes and just waiting to be installed.
New fuel and water tanks were recently installed. An autopilot system is included and waiting
to be installed.
An interior captain’s helm offers great visibility and comfortable sailing in foul weather
conditions. Lots of refrigerator/freezer space in a well-designed galley. On deck, you’ll find a
large foredeck and a comfortable aft cockpit. This boat is meant for the serious sailor who
knows the value of a solidly built boat and good equipment, and who has the skills to put it all
together. The exterior woodwork needs attention and the sails are adequate for now but will need
to be replaced eventually. The propeller has some corrosion. An engine alternator is included
