Description

Popular two cabin layout with diesel, roller furling, autopilot, dodger, refrigeration and 6' 5" headroom.

Accomodations

The Catalina 36 has a wonderful layout. As one steps below there is a generous U shaped galley to port, and opposite to starboard is the navigation station with entry to the aft cabin (under the cockpit well). The salon features a table and seats to starboard with storage outboard, and opposite to port is the large dinette area. The large enclosed head is forward to port, and opposite to starboard is a hanging locker. The large V berth is all the way forward. This particular Catalina 36 has a beautiful teak interior with newer cushions and is very tastefully appointed including a teak and holly cabin sole. There is generous storage throughout and 6' 5" headroom.

Galley Equipment

The galley features a large ice box area with a 12 volt refer system, double stainless steel sinks with pressure hot and cold water, and generous countertop working area. There is a two burner CNG gimbaled stove/oven.

Electronics and Navigation Gear

There is a Autohelm wheel pilot, 5" Richie binnacle mounted compass and Signet sailing instruments featuring windspeed, log, and depth. There is a Uniden VHF and a Si-Tex loran along with a AudioVox stereo.

Electrical System

12 volt DC (two batteries) and 110 volt AC with battery charger and outlets.

Sails and Rigging

There is a roller furling genoa and mainsail, both dacron. The mast and boom are aluminum with easy access to the control lines and halyards. There is a spinnaker pole along with six Lewmar winches, four in the cockpit.

Deck and Hull Equipment

The deck layout is simple and straight forward with generous side decks and a low profile cabinhouse. A full dodger compliments the front of the cockpit and allows excellent visibility including protection from the elements. A swim ladder is incorporated into the stern rail to allow access to the cockpit, which has complete seat cushions. The bow of the boat has a built in bow roller and anchor locker accessed from deck.
