Description

A classic Hans Christian, very clean and well maintained. Because of the wonderful layout this is probably the most popular Hans Christian ever made. With the forward head, large "pullman" berth and private aft cabin the use of space below is amazing, and the quality and workmanship of Hans Christian boats allows them to go anywhere in the world safely.

Accomodations

Beautiful well-planned interior for cruising and live-aboard. Sleeps 5, 2 in Pullman cabin, 2 aft cabin, and 1 on settee. Down the companionway and to port is the galley. The companionway has storage under each step and comes apart into two pieces for ease of access to the engine compartment. To starboard is the aft cabin with a double berth with 3 shelves and a hanging locker separated by a beautiful teak door, with room to stand with the door closed. The L-shaped dinette is forward of the galley and to port with storage underneath. Above the dinette is a beautiful double hatch which allows for light and ventilation. To starboard is a settee which converts to singe berth. Forward end of settee is a Nav station/chart table where the master panel is also located. Under the chart table is a storage locker. Forward of the dinette to port is a queen size Pullman berth with 2 storage lockers and 4 drawers under. At the foot of the Pullman berth is a book and TV shelf. Across from the Pullman berth to starboard are 2 large double hanging lockers. Forward through a beautiful teak door is the athwartships head. To port is a step into stand up or sit down tile shower with teak seat. To starboard is the sink with marble counter top and toiletry cabinet behind. The toilet is forward in the center with a hanging locker to port. Further forward is a large anchor locker. New interior forest green upholstery.

Galley Equipment

The galley is to port with 5 drawers and large dry storage. Galley has double sink with hot/cold pressure water and cold manual water pump. There are 2 dry storage cabinets under sink. Hillerange two burner LPG stove and oven, large refrigerator/freezer that is top and side loading.

Electronics and Navigation Gear

Cockpit has a new 16 mile Furuno radar, Combi depth, speed and wind instruments, and built-in Alpha 4404 autopilot, Magellan 5000 GPS. Ship's binnacle encloses a large Danforth compass. The interior navigation station has Combi depthsounder, Voyager Loran, and ICM80 VHF radio. The electrical panel at the navigation station has ampmeters and voltmeters for both the AC and DC systems. There is also a new stereo system with JBL speakers.

Electrical System

12 volt DC system with two Group 27 batteries plus a spare battery. Batteries were new in 1998. 110 volt AC system with Lewco battery charger and shore power cord.

Sails and Rigging

Cutter rigged with mainsail, clubfoot staysail and 105 yankee headsail and storm tri-sail. Sails are in good shape. Equipped with two # 23 self-tailing tw-speed winches, a # 19, and two mast-mounted halyard winches.

Deck and Hull Equipment

Boat was hauled and painted (two coats of epoxy barrier and two coats of Proline) in April of 1998, no blisters reported. Exterior deck, varnish and brightwork are in very good condition, and there is a complete set of green canvas covers for the sails, hatches, winches, companionway, wheel, mast pulpits, etc and a matching dodger, all new in 1997. Boom gallows, mast pulpits, double chain locker and double stainless steel bow rollers, dodger. New head and plumbing.

Engine and Mechanical

Yanmar 37 hp diesel engine with and estimated 700 hours. Man overboard pole and ring, cockpit cushions.
