Description

A Great Buy!!! The boat shows some neglect but the engines run well, there is a recent survey, the interior is nicely laid out and she has a huge cockpit. The twin Volvo 260 horsepower engines sound strong and do not smoke at all, even on a cold start. The engine exhaust manifolds and risers were replaced in 2002. All offers will be considered.

Engines

Total Power: 2 x 260
Max Speed: 24 kts (est)

Accommodations and Layout

The interior is roomy with six to six foot three of headroom, two cabins and a large salon. The upholstery needs some cleaning and repairs. The headliner is in fairly good condition. The ports and boat do not appear to leak, even after the recent heaavy rains.

Forward is the V-berth with its own vanity and sink, an overhead hatch, hanging locker, and two ports. The aft cabin is very comfortable with an athwartships double berth, hanging locker, an area where you can stand with the door to change clothes and a long window aft providing lots of light. At the head of the berth is a large "headboard" counterspace providing lots of convenient storage.

The salon has a curved settee to port and a nice dinette to starboard which converts to a double berth. The head has a shower, macerator and holding tank. The galley is to port with a sideloading Norcold refrigerator, a two burner 110 volt electric / alcohol stove and a stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurized water.

Electronics & Navigation

The boat has the basic instrumentation and compass, but not much in the way of electronics. There is and old Furuno radar which was reported inoperable.

Electrical

  • 12 volt DC system
  • 110 volt AC system
  • 6.5 Onan generator (reported inop)
  • New True-Charge 20 amp multi-stage charger

Deck and Hull

The cockpit is very large and confortable with an upper and lower area. The upper area has the helm seat and an L-shaped seat opposite which can seat three or four, and it is covered by a bimini. The lower area is aft and provides an area for lots of additional seating or would be great for fishing. There is a wide swimstep and boarding ladder.

Engine and Mechanical

Twin freshwater cooled Volvo Penta gasoline engines with 540 hours. Horsepower is 260 each. In 2002 the exhaust mainfolds and elbows were replaced and the sterndrives were serviced. The engines seem to run well. They sound strong and there is no smoke at all, even on cold start.

Other features include a automatic Halon fire extinguishing system, and electric windlass and a remotely operated spotlight on the bow pulpit.

Additional Comments

The boat shows some neglect in recent years but the engines are reported to run well. With some equipment and cosmetic upgrades this could be a very nice boat at a good price. A survey from December of 2002 is available. All offers will be considered.
