• FORWARD CABIN:

  The double berth to port has a width of fifty-two inches and is six foot, six inches long. There are two large drawers under its aft end and a water tank and storage outboard. Overhead and outboard are two lockers and there is a shelf over the forward end of the berth. On the starboard side is a vanity counter with an oval shape stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water. Under the sink is a shelved locker. Aft of the sink is a vanity counter with two drawers and a locker beneath. Forward is a hanging locker with paneled door. Overhead is a flourscent light, large opening translucent skylight hatch and two dorade vents.

  Access to the mast structure and chain locker is through the hanging locker.

  MAIN SALON - PORT SIDE:

  The six foot, six inch "L" shaped settee with dinette table. Tankage is located under the aft end of the settee with stowage locker outboard forward and a locker with front access inboard. Two enclosed lockers with shelves and a bookcase are located outboard.

  The teak dinette table has deep center storage wells. Overhead is a large translucent skylight hatch.

  MAIN SALON: - STARBOARD SIDE:

  A six foot, six inch settee with tankage located under aft end of the berth and a storage locker with front access forward. Above the backrest of the settee is a hanging locker, book case and shelved locker.

  HEAD/SHOWER AREA:

  On the port side, aft of the settee and nav station, is a fully enclosed washroom with a separate shower stall. Access is through full height paneled doors from both the aft cabin and main salon. there is a large oval stainless steel sink with stainless steel pressure water mixing faucet installed in a teak fiddled "Arborite" vanity counter top. A mirror is fitted on the bulkhead over the sink. Under the sink and vanity are drawers and a shelved locker. Outboard is a shelved locker. There is a full teak grate in both the head and shower area covering the molded sump.

  AFT CABIN - PORT SIDE:

  Aft of the head/shower rooms is a large chart table with "Arborite" finish top and storage below. Outboard and aft is a locker with sliding doors. A hanging locker is aft inboard. There is a fold down Navigators seat. Outboard of the chart table are the !2 volt and 110 volt breaker panels. There is a storage well and bookcase aft of the chart table and drawers and lockers in a recessed panel below it. Overhead is a red(night)/white light.

  AFT CABIN - STARBOARD SIDE:

  A double quarter berth is six foot, six inch inches long with full length enclosed overhead lockers outboard. There are two drawers under the berth. An opening port to the cockpit provides good ventilation.

The Galley Features:

• 1) Gimballed three burner propane stove with oven, propane sniffer.
• 2) Panasonic microwave oven.
• 3) Sea Frost engine driven refrigerator and freezer.
• 4) Double stainless steel sinks.
• 5) Hot and cold pressure water system.
• 6) A single lever hot and cold pressure water mixing faucet.
• 7) Five gallon hot water heater (3/02)
• 8) Fresh water foot pump.
• 9) Salt water foot pump.

• 1) Autopilot 6000 with new 300 course computer and Octopus.
• 2) Wind speed, wind direction.
• 3) Boat speed and log.
• 4) Standard Horizon Titan VHF.
• 5) Aquameter Gemini compass on a stainless steel pedestal (1999).
• 6) JRC 100 16 mile radar on custom mast with dual wiring and brackets so that the screen can be used in the cabin at the nav station or outside at the helm (1999).
• 7) Digital compass.
• 8) Depth finder.
• 9) Furuno Chart Plotter- new with two chips covering Morrow Bay to Ensenada.
• 10) Furuno VHF radio.
• 11) Denon AM/FM cassette with 10 disc CD changer and 300 watt amplifier with waterproof speakers in the cockpit.

• 1) 12vac system.
• 2) 110vdc system.
• 3) Two Surrette house batteries.
• 3) One starting engine battery.
• 4) Shore power outlet w/30 amp shore power cord.
• 5)Wired for phone and cable TV.

The transmission is a Hurth HBW 150 vee drive. The propeller is an 18" feathering Max prop and was last lubricated in July 2001.

During the summer of 1999 the thermostat, water pump. exhaust were replaced and the heat exchanger was rebuilt. There is a custom machined aluminum throttle and gear shift.

PLUMBING:

• .01) VILLAGE MARINE TEC "LITTLE WONDER" REVERSE OSMOSIS WATERMAKER (1999). Six to eight gallons an hour using 10 to 12 amps.
• .02) Sample valve in head.
• .03) High pressure pump mounted in engine compartment to reduce noise,
• .04) Membrane and controls near nav area to allow easy access from cabin or cockpit.
• .05) Overflow tank installed for easy pickling and maintenance,
• .06) Brime discharges to cockpit drain so that there is good water flow without leaving the helm.

  WEBASTO DW 80 DIESEL HOT WATER FURNACE:

• .01) Provides domestic hot water.
• .02) Provides cabin heat via three thermostat controlled force air radiators with ducting into the shower stall.
• .03) System plumbed through engine so that Webasto can be used to heat the engine before winter starts or domestic hot water can be had by the engine.
• .04) Hot and cold pressure water in galley, head, stand-up seperate shower stall and forward cabin vanity.

The great success of this design centres on the innovative combination of rig and hull form. The large efficient mainsail set on an un-stayed mast with wishbone boom is combined with a beamy, yet balanced hull with fin keel and spade rudder. The result is a stable, fast, spacious yacht-simple to handle in all conditions.

An amazing Owners Association has developed over the years and it has grown into one of the largest and most active class associations anywhere. The International Nonsuch Association (INA) boasts a membership approaching the number of boats sailing today. Remember over 1,000 Nonsuchs of various sizes have been made. Jn addition to publishing newsletters and rosters the INA hosts spectacular World Championships that are held every other year in either New England or Canada and attract nearly 100 vessels in every competitive class racing from port to port cruising. Local regattas, clam bakes and winter seminars are common to this enthusiastic and well run association.
