Description

The Catalina 36 is the most popular and successful 36 foot production boat ever built. The sound and forgiving sailing characteristics are not only comfortable but this design has been a standout for decades as a fast club racer and comfortable all season cruiser. The original Catalina 36 still has one of the most popular layouts of any sailboat in it's class to this day.

She has been very well cared for and maintained well. Decks are clean and organized with heavy duty Lewmar winches and clutches and lines lead aft for easy single handed operations. The helm is equipped with all navigational instruments. The bench seats in the cockpit offer plenty of room for crew and are also great for entertaining at the dock.

Below is the warm varnished red teak shrouded salon with its beautiful cabinets and ample seating options. The comfortable U-shaped dining area converts into a wide double bed. To starboard is a sofa that converts to a breakfast table with seats on either side. Starboard and aft is a large Nav station with captains chair.

The galley is equipped for long voyages with a large ice box style refrigerator, a stove and oven combo, double sink and a large dry storage compartment. On the port side are sliding door cabinets and cubbies for food and cooking implements.

The forward cabin is a full sized double v-berth.  To starboard is a hanging locker. A substantial storage shelf surrounds the sides of the bed and a large shelf is forward. The aft cabin creates several sleep and accommodation options. It can also provide excellent storage for sails, and gear and toys intended for your destination.

This Catalina 36 is a great find and she is ready for new adventures.
