An original owner vessel. The Kelly-Peterson 46 Center Cockpit Cutter is considered one of the most respected and sought after world cruisers to date.

Hard Times II has been set up for extensive world cruising and in fact has been there and done that. She has been very well cared for and is anxious to return to the "Blue Water".

Marine and engine surveys from December of 2004 are available.

Accommodations and Layout

The interior hand fitted teak joinery is in like-new condition which reflects the love and care of this original owner. The headliner was completely replaced in 2000. There is a V-berth stateroom forward which has storage underneath the double berth and a hanging locker. Next aft there is an enclosed head/shower on starboard with locher storasge opposite on port. The main salon features a U-shaped dinette on starboard and a pullout settee on port. The settee converts to a sea berth and there is a cabinet and bookshelf storage outboard of both the settee and dinette and a TV/VCR above the galley. Opposite the galley is the outboard facing chart table/navigation station on starboard. Just aft of the galley is a large work shop w/bench and fold down seat. Heading back from the chart table is a walk thru passage way to the aft cabin . There is a generator compartment and counter space on the outboard side of the passageway and engine room access on the inboard side. The aft cabin has an island queen berth and settee, ample drawer and hanging locker storage, an opening companionway forward to the cockpit and an ensuite head/shower on port. Headroom is 6'3" throughout the cabin. All the heads were replumbed in 2000.

Galley

The galley is U-shaped located on the port side seperated from the main salon by a raised bar/counter. The galley features both a front-load Crunert refrigerator with a seperate top-loading freezer. There is a Princess three-burner propane stove w/oven, Panisonic microwave/convection oven, a pressure hot and cold water system. There is also a non-operable A.S.C 15 GPR watermaker (needs new pump and membranes.)

Sharp Autopilot (works flawlessly,) 16 mile Furuno radar 1700, Icom M-700 SSB radio w/tuner, Micrologic Exploer GPS, Kenwood VHF radio (cockpit,) Standard Horizon VHR radio (nav-station,) Signet windpoint and velocity instrument, Signet depth, speed and distance log, Sony AM/FM cassette stereo system w/cockpit and interior speakers, 10 disc CD changer, AC/DC Emerson TV/VCR, 5" AC TV, mast mounted VHF TV antenna, Magnavox Satnav (obsolete) loud hailer in-op, Trident clock and barometer.

Electrical

12 volt DC and 110 volt AC systems w/shorepower cord. Six batteries (4) house (2) cranking, 4.5 K Genset, Sentry Lewco 40 amp automatic battery charger, Battery parallel battery switch, 300 watt inverter.

Sails and Rigging

Mainsail was replaced in 1999, 120% jib was replaced in 1995, original staysail is in excellent condition.

Deck and Hull

Bottom was painted in December of 2002, Fiberglass non-skid deck, 50 lbs CQR primary anchor w/400 3/8" BBB chain, Bruce 22k secondary anchor, Maxwell vertical electric windlass, new life lines (2002) new back stays (2002,) (2) dorades, cockpit cushions, Avon 310 RIB inflatable w/9.9 Suzuki OB, Zodiac 6-man liferaft, OB engine lift davit, Navtec hydraulic vang (rebuilt 2001,) Ferdell radar blipper, reaching pole, Harken roller furlers on jib and staysail, running back stays, #55 Lewmar ST primary winches, #43 Lewmar ST secondary winches, #32 ST Lewmar winch, MOB pole, fresh water wash down on stern, dodger, cockpit awning, propane BBQ.

Engine and Mechanical

82 HP Pathfinder diesel engine with 2130 hours, 4.5 KW Kabota Generator with 1727 hours.
