The Liberty 49 is an elegant long-distance cruising yacht designed by Stan C. Huntingford and built in the tradition of her predecessor, the Liberty 458. It is a yacht whose well thought out and liveable accommodation plan has received the plaudits of all who have owned one. She has graceful lines, unsurpassed structural integrity and exceptional directional stability. This combination, along with her spacious and well-designed interior make her an ideal cruiser and live-aboard. Accommodations
The creative utilization of space allows for exceptional comfort down below. For instance, the Liberty 49 has 6'10" headroom providing an air of spaciousness. Below deck in the forepeak is an enclosed head compartment with access to the forward most chainlocker. Next aft is guest stateroom with double berth to starboard. An office is aft to port. The salon is next aft with a L-shaped settee with dining table to starboard followed by the L-shaped galley. The centered companionway ladder is off the galley and leads up to the center cockpit. To port in the salon is a stright settee followed by a Nav station in the port passageway that leads to the aft owners stateroom. The aft cabin is fitted with a extra large berth and enclosed head compartment.
