Description

The interior design of the PT 42 is arranged in the conventional manner with a double berth aft (off centered angled generous double berth-see interior layout below) and V-berths forward. The galley is down with the forward head opposite, very convenient to the salon area and for entertaining guests. The aft cockpit makes for easy boarding.

The fiberglass hull offers a hard chine displacement hull for economical cruising at 12 plus knots. With the twin 225-hp Lehman diesels, she will cruise at 14 knots and reach top speed of about 17 knots.

The all teak interior present a warm, cozy and comfortable atmosphere.

Accommodations and Layout

Entry is from the port or starboard weather deck or by the gate to the aft cockpit. Entering from the stern is the aft full width cockpit with built in settee, forward through the entry to the aft well defined master stateroom with walk around double berth, storage and ensuite head with seperate shower stall. Step up to the all teak salon area with the L-shaped settee to starboard and the adjustable high/low coffee table or eating table. Opposite to port are two free standing chairs and a built in ice maker.

Forward to port is a drop leaf breakfast bar with two bar stools. To starboard is the well equipped, fully instrumented lower helm station.

Forward and down to starboard is the second convenient enclosed guest head and adjacent to the forward stateroom. The equipped compact galley is opposite the head to port. V-berth guest cabin is forward with vanity and storage.

Galley

The compact well layed out "U" shape galley is down from the salon area to port. There is ample above and below counter space finished in warm teak.

  • 2) Two Par electric automatic bilge pumps.
  • 3) Mounted manual whale diaphram bilge pump.
  • 4) Two Rule 800 shower sump pumps.
  • 5) Electric waste macerator discharge pump.

Additional Comments

Many recent upgrades to this Cockpit Motor Yacht over the last eirghteen months, including the hauling of the vessel in March of 2001 at which time the bottom was painted, rudders were dropped for inspection and repacking, new props were installed, generator was stripped and rebuilt with an, new improved exhaust system, Turbos overhauled, new holding tank installed, inner coolers were rebuilt.

All new soft furnishings throughout, plus carpets, custom linens, throw cushons, drapes and more, take a look at the attached photos.
