DECK GEAR
DECK OVERVIEW
Heavily built, rugged trawler pilothouse design with high sea worthy bow. A fiberglass bow pulpit set up for multiple anchors with two anchor rollers extends forward of the bow. Mounted aft on the pulpit is a large heavy capacity electric anchor windlass with chain gypsy and drum to accommodate chain and rode. Power up and down with on deck foot switches or use the remote switch from flybridge. There is a wash down fitting for the anchor station.
Traditional teak decks run from foredeck back to the side decks and cockpit. Stainless steel bow rail flows to teak cap rail which follows shear aft with a teak and stainless handrail above. Well protected and wide side decks with high gunnels and aft overhead overhangs typical of a Europa design trawlers. Opening side doors, port and starboard, for easy dock access.
Cockpit is large enough for gathering of a small group. Opening transom door in cockpit for access to swim step. SS ladder on swim step. There is a ladder from the cockpit to the aft flybridge deck. There is an opening hatch to access the flybridge from the aft portion of the boat. There are large over sized Sampson posts located throughout with well positioned deck access for dock lines.
The flybridge is quite impressive not only in the space that it provides for a tender (via SS davit) but also for the visibility it offers. The views from the flybridge are spectacular and there is enough room on the flybridge, without the tender present, to have a dozen or so people relaxing without feeling crowded. The flybridge helm is forward with access to the pilothouse via a hatch and stairway. The helm is situated forward with two helm chairs and guest seating to port. There is a center line SS wheel, engine controls and instruments, rudder indicator, Magellan GPS, flybridge speakers, and a VHF radio. There is a venturi windshield that runs along the front of the flybridge and stainless steel/teak railing runs around the outside of the flybridge deck with protective wind skirts. A large fiberglass radar arch extends over the flybridge deck with spreader lights, radar antenna, and other radio antennas. A large stainless steel electric tender davit is mounted in the aft port corner of the flybridge deck. The flybridge deck aft is well appointed with lounging chairs, deck chairs, and a table with a folding umbrella, and large throw rug.
