 This is a prime example of the rugged and dependable bluewater cruiser, Hans Christian 41T Molokai.  Bliss is a well maintained, blue water cruiser that is ready to go anywhere. She is one of Hans Christians latest and best conceived designs with exceptional performance, lots of room inside and more than adequate ventilation. She has an easy motion at sea combined with excellent performance and low ultimate stability.

Bliss has continually been modified and upgraded to be the ultimate cruising boat including new teak decks in 2004.  The interior is in exceptional condition And, she is loaded with cruising gear such as solar, wind generators, ssb radio, watermaker, auto pilot, radar and much, much more. INTERIOR INTRODUCTION 

It’s probably best to describe these boats as being semi-custom in nature. There were at least five variations of layouts; four were described in the original brochure and named the Molokai, Harmony, Atlantic and Pacific. The most popular was the Molokai layout with its twin head arrangement and double berths both forward and aft. Interiors are of a very high workmanship and incorporate many ideas that proved popular for Hans Christian in prior models.  All the other models have only one head in the bow (hard to use offshore) hence the Molokai with the second head right at the companionway was most popular. The interior of the vessel is completed with solid teak staving and selected teak veneers. The cabin sole is teak and holly striped and the overheads are finished in white FRP panels with solid teak trims. Full teak & Holly floor that is 1" thick, solid teak cabinets & doors, lots of brass , etc. 10 solid bronze opening ports w/ bug screens plus overhead hatches provides an abundance of natural light and ventilation.

 

LAYOUT

"Bliss" is the more popular MOLOKAI layout.  Upon entering the companionway, to port is a guest stateroom with a privacy door. Opposite is the guest/day head which is near the companionway and convenient for using at sea. Forward to port is a large, functional, U-shaped galley with lots of storage. A giant sit down nav station that is larger than any other boat this size is across from the galley on the starboard side with a navigator's chair, ships service panel and custom electronics panel. There is a large settee forward of the nav station and opposite of the U-shaped dinette. The master stateroom is forward of the main bulkhead with a pullman berth to port and settee and hanging lockers opposite. The master head is forward of the master cabin and has a separate shower area and access to the chain locker.

 

GALLEY

Teak staved throughout, marble counter tops the galley is located to port and is fitted with a deep stainless double sink facing forward. A bronze mixer faucet provides hot and cold water from the pressurized main. In addition two bronze hand pumps are fitted, one providing salt water, the other one fresh water from the vessels tanks. Ample stowage is provided by way of drawers and lockers. The large FRP iceboxes are insulated with 4" of polyurethane foam and are accessed via lift tops and an opening side door with Stone cold refrigeration. There is a gimballed, propane stove and oven and is fitted into a stainless steel lined opening as well as a microwave oven.  Access to the engine can be gained through a door under the sink.
