1988 Californian 45 Aft Cabin Motor Yacht

Californian Yachts went through a transition in the 1980s where the company focus switched from basic but well-built trawlers to well-appointed up-scale motor yachts.  The Californian 45 Motor Yacht was produced from 1988 to 1991 during the transition.  During this period Carver Yachts was involved in the production of these well-respected classic designs.  They put out some very fine yachts in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Alexandra has been lovingly cared for by the present owners and has approximately 450 hours on her Caterpillar 3208 375 hp diesels.  The Onan 8kw generator has only 422 hours.  The engine room is clean and the engines show very well.  The engine room is spacious and all equipment is easily accessed.

The Salon is trimmed in thick teak wood, the flooring is carpet and teak.  The interior is very clean, bright, and tastefully decorated. The custom salon couch is made by Sea Furniture, and is also a Queen bed so Alexandra officially accomodates 8. 

There are two private staterooms, the owners with a custom center line king bed with a custom natural organic latex mattress by Santa Barbara Mattress Company. The guest stateroom, with a centerline queen berth, also custom by Santa Barbara Mattress Company. Both have a private head compartment and separate shower stall.  The galley is down with an opposite dinette and table.

The sundeck with its protective hard top is a comfortable space for socializing on the water, with it's own refrigerator and ample entertaining space. The sundeck is newly carpeted and enclosed with newer isinglass, and furnished with an elegant wicker table and chairs and a matching sofa with bright Sunbrella fabric.

The flybridge is enclosed and the boat can be operated from the flybridge helm with ample seating for guests.  Navigational equipment includes a chart plotter/radar/sounder, Benmar Autopilot, and 2 VHF radios.  There are stereo speakers throughout.

Alexandra is like stepping back in time to find a beautifully maintained vintage motor yacht design that is functional and timeless.  Her gelcoat sparkles and her interior is comfortable and classic.  

• OVERVIEW:
• Open the sliding door from the sundeck and step down into a spacious salon area with private forward and aft cabins.  The forward cabin features a walk-around queen bed and the aft owner's stateroom features a custom King bed.  Each cabin has an adjacent private head compartment with electric toilets and a separate shower stall.  The interior is trimmed with teak, with teak cabinets and storage drawers throughout.  Side windows open for fresh air and light but also have privacy curtains, blinds, and valances.  The flooring is mostly carpet with throw rugs, and teak flooring in the galley area.  The galley is a few steps down from the salon and has an adjacent large U-shaped dinette with a drop-down table.  Alexandra will sleep 6 with 4 persons in 2 private staterooms and 2 persons in the drop-down dinette table.
