Accommodations and Layout

This boat has a good two cabin layout with approximately 6'2" of headroom. One nice feature is that the windows are larger than most other express boats.

Forward is a V-berth with an offset double bed, four drawers of storage underneath, a hanging locker, plenty of shelf space, a solid folding door for privacy, an overhead hatch and two opening ports. The main salon has the dinette and a head with a shower to starboard and the galley to port. The dinette has two facing seats and converts to a double berth. There are two overhead hatches and two opening ports, plus the unusual feature of a long sliding glass window on both sides. The aft mid-cabin berth sleeps two and also has the unusual feature of a large opening window, reducing the closed-in feeling some mid-cabin berths have.

Deck and Hull

In 2004 the boat was painted and no blisters were reported. Also in 2004 the canvas and eisenglass flybridge enclosure and cockpit covers were replaced.

The cockpit is large with good seating. Besides the usual L-shaped bench seating in the lower cockpit, the upper cockpit has a second L-shaped settee near the separate helm seat. The upholstery was new in 2004.

There is an integrated swimstep with a boarding ladder and transom door. Other features include a nine foot inflatable dinghy, an electric windlass and remote spotlight, both with controls at the helm, a fume detector, trim tabs, a Danforth anchor with 30 feet of chain and 250 feet of rode as well as the usual bilge pumps, blowers, safety gear, dock lines, fenders, etc.

Engine and Mechanical

THe boat is powered by twin 350 cid Mercrusers that are freshwater cooled with V-drives. The bort engine was completely rebuilt from a short block in 2004. The top end of the starboard engine was redone in 2004. Both transmissions have been replaced and the V-drives have been serviced. It is estimated that the boat had 350 hours on it in 2004. The engines and transmissions probably have less than 10 hours since the work was done.
