Pacific Seacraft justifiably enjoy's a reputation for quality of build and excellent offshore-capable designs that are rivaled by few with the quality of craftsmanship from a bi-gone era rarely found in today's yachts. .The Pacific Seacraft 34 was named by Cruising World as one of the top seven cruising designs under $100k.  This stout Bill Crealock double-ender is an ideal couple’s cruiser with room to sleep two, feed four, and entertain six.

Designed by W.I.B. Crealock and considered by many as the encore to his remarkable Crealock 37, the Pacific Seacraft 34 has been a top choice of single and double handlers for local, coastal,  and long range passage making.  With safety, comfort, balance, and sea kindly motion central to her design the 34 is responsive, directionally stable, and places very few demands on her helmsmen and crew.  

This Pacific Sea Craft 34 was being prepared for world cruising but sadly the owner passed away before his dreams could be made reality and his wife has ow put her on the market. This boat has been very well equipped in preparation for the cruise although there still may be some equipment that has not been fully tested or made 100% operational. "Credence II" is extremely well equipped for extended, blue water sailing including; Garmin radar, AIS, Pactoral Modem,NEW  Max Prop (not installed), autopilot, windvane steering, Icom SSB radio, solar panels, wind generator,life raft, Eprib and much, much more.

Clearly a slightly smaller sister to the Pacific Seacraft 37, the Crealock 34 is a refined sibling which boasts the same seagoing capabilities, the same beauty and the same adherence to the control and comfort of her owner.
Indeed, control and comfort have been central to the entire design of the Pacific Seacraft 34. Hulls with easy overhangs make for fast and comfortable ocean passages. Owners report that her canoe stern enables her to maintain surfing speeds under complete control. Her underbody has earned a reputation for close windedness. And her balance under sail builds confidence even in those who are not greatly experienced.

The Pacific Seacraft 34 offers fast performance under sail, sea kindliness, ease of handling, comfort and timeless beauty. All the advantages of the Crealock-designed canoe stern with its ample overhang, well-proven in other Pacific Seacraft, are incorporated in the Pacific Seacraft 34. The Pacific Seacraft 34's moderate displacement contributes to both comfort and speed. She is light enough to make her swift, heavy enough to make her comfortable, and spacious enough to hold ample stores for a long passage. Below decks, she's light, airy and exceptionally commodious with 6-foot 3-inch headroom; a spacious, versatile salon; U-shaped gourmet galley; and bunk space for six. Her quality is evident in solid bronze fittings, teak joinery, a hand laid-up hull and molded fiberglass interior.

 

Vessel Walk though Accommodations

When one enters the interior of the Crealock 34', the first impression is one of safety and comfort. The warm traditional teak interior is inviting. This is a vessel created for voyaging. Starting forward, the double V-berth is 6'6" long and 7'1" wide with shelves on both sides. A double hanging locker is located aft to starboard; to port, the enclosed head with Y-valve and shower, S/S sink, teak floor grate and mirror. Ventilation is provided through an opening port and dorade. Following aft, the main salon features 6'3" headroom, teak and holly sole, zippered vinyl headliner to access deck hardware and wiring, and louvered locker doors throughout. There are 8 bronze opening ports with screens, 2 dorades and two reversible overhead hatches.teak storage lockers & bookshelves with removable fiddles on both sides of the cabin above the settees with ash staving. Additional storage is provided by bins located behind the settees as well. Both settees are 6'6" and the port settee converts to a roomy double berth. A centerline teak table is provided for comfortable dining for four.  The teak navigation station is next aft to starboard and has storage under the lift-top. Next, aft to starboard is a 7'7" long quarter berth. Across from the Nav station, the U-shaped galley makes cooking simple and secure.

Boat Configuration

The Pacific Seacraft 34 has relatively large overhanging bow, a handsome sheer line, which ends with a traditional canoe stern. Under the waterline is a relatively long cruising fin keep with a very handy draft of 4’11” in standard trim that will get you into places that other boats won’t. The rudder is skeg-hung.

Galley

The U shaped galley is well designed and offers an abundance of storage. Drawers and lockers are easily accessible for items used daily, plus there are deep bins for long term storage. She has enough counter preparation area to suit even the most finicky seagoing chef. Galley features also include: Three burner gimballed LPG stove w/oven, deep double SS sinks, a large icebox with Frigoboat refrigerator/freezer, hot and cold pressure water with manual back up foot pump.

Sails/Rigging/Sailing

The rig is of staysail sloop configuration. All control lines are feed back into the safety of the cockpit. The cockpit is small, which some would say is a traditional blue-water design feature to advert the risk of pooping (flooding from a following sea).

  Sailing performance is quite spritely, when taking into account its a relatively heavy displacement vessle. The boat is well balanced and is capable of good upwind performance. As with all Pacific Seacraft boats, at sea motion is very sea kindly.

Construction Notes

The Pacific Seacraft vessels are built to American Bureau of Shipping plan certifications. Solid Glass hull w/vinylester resin skin coat to resist osmotic blistering. Rudder w/ steel web frame supported by high strength manganese gudgeon and closely coupled to steel reinforced integral skeg. Ballast is solid lead casting with stainless steel bedded in epoxy. The deck is of end grain, balsa coring with marine plywood used in high stress areas and has molded in non skid. All hardware is bronze. All cleats, turning blocks, pulpits and stanchions have backing plates caulked with polyurethane. The hull deck joint is internal flanged, thru bolted on 4" centers as well as chemically bonded. There are many extremely well built boats throughout the world but none are built any stronger then the Pacific Seacraft!

Pacific Seacraft 34 Voyagemaker Specifications - Standard Equipment Construction - Hand laminated biaxial fiberglass hull & deck. First hull laminate uses vinylester resin for superior blister resistance. - Stainless steel chainplates & backing plates are caulked & thru-bolted to the hull. Solid teak rubstrake on hull. - Rudder with steel web frame supported by high strength manganese bronze gudgeon and closely coupled to steel reinforced integral skeg. - Ballast is 4,800 pound solid lead casting with stainless steel keel bolts.
