Accommodations

There were several subtle differences in the layouts offered within the 7 or 8 year production run of the PT 42 Cockpit Trawler. This vintage boat was toward the end of the run and encorporated most of the desired layout features as well as one of the most desirable power packages offered in the PT 42 series. Most of the PTs were built with only one door leading out of the salon. To get to the sundeck you had to go out the side door and walk outside and aft. "Out to See" has 2 ways out of the salon, the side door and steps leading to the sundeck from the aft section of the salon. Another subtle difference was instead of a vee berth forward this model features a diagonal double berth.

The interior is generously appointed in Taiwanese teak, with teak and holly flooring throughout. She is a galley down layout with two private cabins with double berths, each with a private head. Separating the forward and aft cabins is a raised salon with an L shaped settee and teak dinette table (not shown in pictures). Opening windows, hatches, and ports circulate fresh air thoughout the cabin. The storage in the boat is well thought out with teak cabinets, hanging lockers, and drawers located everywhere in the vessel.
