Description
The Hunter 27 is a sloop, designed to be sailed by one or two people. All halyards and sheets run to the cockpit. Ideal boat for a young couple or young family. A large roomy cockpit with access through the aft end with steps leading to the swim ladder and the water. This arrangment makes it very easy to board the boat via the stern or even from the side when dockside.
The Hunter 27 is a boat with clean lines, easy to maintain, simple to sail and accelerates fast through the water even in light air. This is a good boat to sail in San Diego Bay, along the coast or to and from Catalina.

Accommodations
Open plan for a spacious feel with lots of ventilation. Two openings on each side and two hatches. Double berth athwartships in aft the cabin. Double Vee-berth forward and two singles next to the dinette. The enclosed head is located on the port side just forward of aft stateroom. The galley is just forward of the aft stateroom on the starboard side. The dinette is designed to sit around on three sides and can be coverted to a third double berth. The back rest raises to extend the width of the boat at the foot of the forward vee-berth if desired. No way for small children to fall out of bed.
Galley
The galley has hot and cold water pressure system, gimbaled two-burner alochol stove, molded sink with cutting board cover, and an icebox. Nice storage for a boat this size. It located so that there is plenty of fresh air when the hatch-way is open with plenty of headroom for a 6' 1" person.
Electronics & Navigation
The navigation equipment is a bulkhead mounted compass. It also has built in stereo system located in the main salon.
Electrical
The hot water heater is 110V only since the boat does not have an inboard engine, but holds the water hot for some time. There is 110V shore power with standard shore power extension cord along with 110V outlets. 12V interior lights and required navigation lights.
Deck and Hull
This boat looks near new inside and out. Deck and Hull are fiberglass, with no wood to maintain. Anchor locker in the forepeak.
Sails and Rigging
The Hunter is a fractional rig and carries a new Hood roller furling, 150% genoa with UV cover and a full main. Sails are in excellent condition like the entire boat. Two self tailing primary winches and one winch located on the cabin top along with sheet stoppers for the main and jib halyards, and one for the rigid boom vang. The main sheet and traveler are also located on the cabin top, but no winches are required. The standing rigging is S.S. with a split back stay for easy access to and from the cockpit.
Engine and Mechanical
The engine is fixed to the transom for easy starting and tilting when not in use. The fuel tank in located in a special recess vented to the outside storage area under the cockpit sole. This is a well thought out design to make it easy to refuel when necessary.
Safety Equipment
With on one through hull fitting the boat carries one electrical bilge pump and one maunal gusher type manual bilge pump in located in the cockpit. Two fire extinguishers, four life jackets, and one set of flares. One Danforth type anchor and rode.
