"General condition was found above average for a vessel of this age. Maintenance and cosmetics were found to high standards. The hull was found fully sound and in seaworthy condition. No structural discrepancies were noted. The bottom was found free from any osmosis gel coat blistering problem. Engine and gear were run (at idle) during the course of this inspection and appeared to operate well. The engine compartment was found clean and neat. Engine our meter reads very low for a vessel of this age. The rig and rigging were found in satisfactory condition."

Manufacturer Provided Description

The T35 is Thomas Marine's solution to the dilemma of combining racing performance with cruising accommodations at an affordable price. The T35 is a state-of-the-art design with high-performance capabilities wrapped around a practical, comfortable interior. The T35 is a Graham & Schlageter IMS optimized design whose performance ranks it with much larger yachts, yet whose one-design character will ultimately provide rating-free racing to avoid obsolescence and provide an interior suitable for cruising expectations. This yacht is built in accordance with ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) approved plans. Hull and deck are 100 per cent hand-laid biaxial fiberglass over balsa core. Exterior hull surface is laminated with vinylester resin to prevent moisture absorption. A fiberglass grid structure is bonded to the hull to distribute rig and keel loads. Special attention was given to deck design. The 10-foot long, T-shaped, self-bailing cockpit with contoured seats and backrests provides comfort and mobility while sailing. Quality deck hardware, such as Lewmar hatches and opening ports, Harken and Schaefer blocks, Sparcraft rig, and Barient winches, make it easy to concentrate on sailing. The mast is supported by double swept-back spreaders with no need for running backstays or babystays. The fractional rig with its large main means there is no need for a large, expensive headsail inventory. A complete set of running rigging is included. The interior is open, airy, and practical. The list of standard equipment is impressive: pressure hot and cold running water, stainless steel sink, icebox, shore power, seven large bunks including a V-berth, two-burner stove with oven, enclosed head with shower and a 28 hp diesel to push the yacht at 7 knots. Teak trim is used throughout to accent the easy-care gelcoat and Formica. Early sailing experience with the T35 shows her clear superiority in speed and comfort over all boats in her size range. Her speed is equal to that of most 42-foot boats. In light air she easily sails to her IMS rating and can carry her genoa in 20 knots of wind. In a breeze she's a delight to steer.
