Accommodations

This famous Hunter interior creates a wide-open spacious feeling with lots of light. The interior is very clean and the upholstery is in very good condition. Headroom ranges from 6' 6" to 6' and there is nice teak and holly sole throughout.

The forward cabin has a double V-berth, two hanging lockers, and plenty of room to stand with the door closed. The main salon has a U-shaped dinette to port, which can be converted into a double berth, and a long settee to starboard. Further aft is the L-shaped galley to port, and a navigation station and enclosed head with shower to starboard. There is lots of light and ventilation provided by four opening ports, three opening overhead hatches and two large windows.

The head can be entered either from the salon or the owner's cabin, is quite large, and has a separate area for the shower.

The owner's cabin is aft with an athwartships double berth, three double door hanging lockers, five opening ports and three windows.

Deck and Hull

This boat has a large cockpit with the modern, popular walk-through transom and swim step with boarding ladder. It also has a very tall dodger with detachable two-part bimini which extends over the entire cockpit and has isinglass side panels which can completely enclose the entire cockpit if desired. The headroom inside the enclosure is six feet throughout. Another advantage of the taller dodger is that the "window panels" are much larger than normal and the visibility when looking forward is very good. The canvas and isinglass were installed in 2000.

Other features include a hot and cold water cockpit shower, Danforth anchor with chain and rode, manual windlass and cockpit cushions.

Sails and Rigging

  • Deck-steeped double spreader aluminum mast
  • Split backstay
  • Hood roller furling on genoa
  • All lines are run to cockpit
  • Four two-speed, self-tailing Barient winches in cockpit
  • Lazy jacks

Engine and Mechanical

Reliable three cylinder Yanmar diesel engine with just over 400 hours on it (and on the boat). This boat has only had two owners and neither used it very much. The engine is in a box under the companionway and as a result it is very accessible for maintainance.

Additional Comments

A 8 1/2 foot West Marine inflatable dinghy with a 3.5 hp Nisson outboard engine are included, both were new in 1999.
