"Deneige" is a superb single or couples cruising boat.  Pacific Seacraft sailboats are well designed and well built ocean going vessels.  All mechanical and electrical systems are operational and accessible.   This vessel is equipped with bronze cleats, bronze fittings and bronze port holes.  Down below, one is greeted by an open interior design with first class teak  joinery.

On the bow is a Maxwell 1200 electric windlass. The windlass is controlled at either the bow or at the helm by using remote cabled handheld remote controllers.

The bow anchor is a 33lb Bruce (the real Bruce) with 200 feet of ACCO- 5/16HT chain.

The stern Anchor is a Fortress FX 23 with approx 35 feet of 1/4 chain and 250 feet of 1/2 inch nylon rode.

This vessel is equipped with a Cobra Whitlock wheel steering system,. with a single lever control.  The rack and pinnion gearing allows for very responsive steering with no lag time.

At the helm is a Nav-pod with a Garmin 182C GPS Chartplotter with a map card.  Next to the Garmin (a separate unit) is a Furuno 1623 LCD Radar screen.  The dome is mounted on a Performance Marine Aft facing gimbal mount platform (an alumium tube alongside of the backstay).

Near the helm is a remote ICOM VHF Mic

In the cockpit with in sight of the helm is a 5 inch Furuno Echo sounder and a Raymarine St60 digtal depth meter.

Pacific Seacraft 31 Specifications -

Standard Equipment Construction - Hand laminated hull and deck. First hull laminate uses vinylester resin for superior blister resistance. Standard molded-in gel coat color is Antique White. Contrasting boot and sheer stripes. - Stainless steel chainplates and backing plates are caulked and thru-bolted to the hull. Solid teak rubstrake on hull. - -

Rudder supported by high strength manganese bronze gudgeon. -

Ballast is 4,400 pound (2.0 mt.) solid lead casting with stainless steel keel bolts. Keel to hull joint bedded in epoxy. 

Interior is structural fiberglass, plywood & gel coat interior module bonded into hull with fiberglass mat and woven roving. Primary bulkheads bonded into hull & deck w-fiberglass then bolted in place. - Underside of deck, lockers and entire bilge are gel coated to prevent mildew and to facilitate cleaning. - Deck to hull connection: Mating hull & deck flanges bedded in polyurethane adhesive and fastened with stainless steel thru-bolts. - Deck has molded-in nonskid pattern.

Deck Equipment - All cleats, winches, turning blocks, pulpits & stanchions have backing plates. Backing plates & hardware caulked with polyurethane. - 30" high stainless steel double rail bow and stern pulpits with running lights and double lifeline stanchions. - Stainless steel stem fitting and bow platform with two anchor rollers, quick-release locking pins and bobstay. - Divided bow chain locker for two anchor rodes. - Deep bulwarks with heavy teak cap rail, hand fitted with butterfly joints. Hand rubbed teak oil finish. - 6' 2" headroom with teak and holly sole throughout cabin area, all hatches and hatch openings in sole banded in solid teak. - White matte finish below counter height, teak cabinetry above. - - Zippered vinyl headliner for access to deck hardware and wiring. Forward - 6' 6" long and 78" wide double V-berth with shelves on both sides and privacy curtain. - Three teak drawers under V-berth. - Slide out dining table stores beneath V-berth. Panel is hinged for easy access. - Tinned copper wiring throughout. - 110 volt shore power system.- Four position battery switch. - Four dome lights. - Six reading lights. - One adjustable chart light at navigation station. - Four 110 volt AC duplex receptacles with GFI protection. - RG-8U coaxial antenna cable led from masthead to navigators table.

Cockpit - 7' long seats with contoured seat backs and seat drains. - Coamings have two built-in winch handle boxes. - Three cockpit seat lockers for ample storage. - Vented propane storage in starboard coaming locker. - Two - 10 pound propane tank  - Two safety harness pad eyes. - Pedestal wheel steering with brake and offset stainless steel pedestal guard, engine throttle control and emergency tiller. - Two 1-1-2" drains in cockpit sole to seacocks for fast self-bailing.

Spars and Rigging - Aluminum spars with two part linear polyurethane paint. - Four sheave masthead, external halyards, airfoil spreaders. - Combination bow - foredeck light on mast. Anchor light on masthead. - Internal conduit with VHF coax cable and wires. - Two single line reefs, reef horns at gooseneck. - Internal 2:1 outhaul, adjustable boom topping lift and cunningham. -  1/4" - 1x19 s.s. standing rigging. Braided dacron running rigging. - Forged bronze open body turnbuckles. -  -  - 

This vessel is equipted with bronze ports and fittings.  Down below the interior is bright and cheery which is due to both an open interior and a white laminate strip located between the teak wood work and the zippered headliner. 

This vessel has  a Cutter rigged sailplan. Note:  the staysail roller furler pictured was removed in late 2012 and replaced with a hanked on staysail.  

The bottom was painted and the hull waxed,  April 2012.

Of special note:  This vessel has been measured by the Santa Barbara Harbor department at 33 feet zero inches, and as a result is qualified to be berthed in a 30 foot slip Santa Barbara slip. (allowed 3 feet over)

Headsail is a high cut 100 percent jib mounted on a a Profurl NC 32 roller furler unit with a UV cover.

A lightly used additional 100 percent jib by Shurr Sailmaker is included, however it does not have a UV cover.

(Note:  the staysail roller furling unit pictured in the boat at anchor photograph was removed in July 2012 and replaced with a  hanked on staysail in order to make quicker tacks. See the next paragraph.)

The Cutter sail Rolly Tasker (12/09) is hanked on with recently replaced brass hanks. The inner forestay is attached to the deck fitting with a brand new Wichard #5556 quick release lever.  The inner forestay can be stowed up at the mast when not in use.

There are Port and Starboard Baby backstays, each with a snap shackle so they can be stowed at the mast when not in use.

Lazy Jacks.  Whisker Pole.  Two mainsail halyards, one spinnaker halyard, on headsail halyard and one cutter sail halyard.

Standing rigging surveyed by local rigger in July 2012, no issues noted.

Note: The main and cutter sail area raised at the mast. Two Lewmar bronze #8 winches on the mast.

There two bronze #8 Lewmar winches on the cabin top to control the cutter sheets.

The head sail sheets are control by two Lewmar #43 self tailing winches in the cockpit with in easy reach by the helmsman.

Spare paws, springs and clips are included.
