Accommodations
The owner's cabin is forward with a centerline queen sized double berth. There is a small seat, a hanging locker and cabinets to port, a private head with shower to starboard, and good shelving and storage throughout, as well as an opening port, two portlights and an overhead hatch. The berth has a new $1600 custom mattress.
The main salon has the galley to port and a very large dinette with wraparound seating to center and starboard. The dinette seats six or seven comfortably, and could seat a few more in a pinch. Further aft on the starboard side is the navigation station and a head which can be entered from the salon or the starboardside aft cabin. The salon has four opening ports, four nonopening ports and an overhead hatch providing lots of light and ventilation.
On either side of the companionway are entrances to the two aft cabins. Both have a very large double berth, a hanging locker, shelving, and a separate head. There is an area with standing headroom (6' 2") in both cabins for changing. Each cabin also has two opening ports, two nonopening portlights and an overhead hatch.
There is nice teak paneling throughout the whole boat, at least 6' 2" headroom in all cabins, and new sky shades for all the ports and hatches. Some of the other features include new carpeting, new custom lighting and an all new settee.

Deck and Hull
Exterior maintenance has been reduced to a minimum. All the exterior teak decking has been expertly replaced with molded-in nonskid. Teak handrails have been replaced with "never varnish" polymer. Besides reduced maintenance, this work has had the effect of brightening up the cockpit and making it seem larger and more spacious.
There is a new custom dodger with oversized stainless steel bows, grab rails, and lexan panels complete with window covers. All the other canvas is new including a cockpit awning with aft and side shades, a boom tent and sail cover. The boat has a modified bulb winged keel. The hull has been stripped, buffed and restriped In 1999 three coats of Trinidad bottom paint were applied plus a fourth coat at the water line.
Sails and Rigging
The current sails were recut in 1998, and the original main and jib are available as spares. There is also an asymetrical spinnaker. All lines run to the cockpit to two sets of camlocks. The are run under a protective cover flush with the deck which eliminates the usual tripping hazard and keeps the deck uncluttered. The traveller is located in front of the dodger and out of the way as well. There are four cockpit winches - two Lewmar 43's (two speed self-tailing) and two Lewmar 52's (two speed self-tailing).
Engine and Mechanical
Access to the engine is good. The companionway steps swing out forward and there are removable access panels on the other three sides.
Other equipment includes new man-overboard lifesling, new fire extinguishers plus an automatic system in the engine room, new 12 gallon water heater, Magma propane BBQ with custom cover, La France electric windlass with CQR anchor, 300 feet of high test chain and 150 feet of rode, a Bruce anchor with 140 feet of rode, and a Fortress with 150 feet of rode. The two aft heads go to holding tank with macerator, the forward head is currently pumped overboard but provisions have been made for a holding tank including installation of hoses and a Y-valve.
