Description

Originally introduced as the 3900 SCR in 1996, the same boat was sold by Maxum as a 4100 SCR in subsequent years. This is an exceptionally clean boat with low hours and an extended transferable warranty on the large 8.2 litre (400 hp) fuel-injected Mercruiser engines.

Engines

Total Power: 2 x 400
Max Speed: 30+ knots

Accommodations

The interior design is clean, modern and spacious, typical of the larger Maxum boats. Forward is a large island double berth with lots of drawers and selves on either side, four large drawers and additional storage underneath and a large hanging locker. Typcially the foward cabin is left open to the salon creating a feeling of spaciousness, but folding accordian doors can be drawn to provide privacy.

The main salon has the galley and head to port and a large curved settee/dinette to starboard with a removable table. The head has a vacuflush toilet system and a large stall shower. Further aft is the midcabin with a wraparound sette that can be converted to a double berth. Like the forward cabin, there are folding accordian doors for privacy.

There is lots of built-in lighting throughout the cabin, as well as three overhead ports and eight opening side ports to provide additional light and ventilation.

The boat also has two separate reverse cycle air conditioning units and there is 6'6" of headroom throughout.

Galley

  • Built-in Panasonic microwave
  • Three burner electric range
  • Stainless steel sink
  • Side-loading refrigerator/freezer

Electronics & Navigation

Deck and Hull

The carpeted cockpit is exceptionally large and very comfortable. There are two double-wide bench seats facing forward, including the electric helm seat. Behind these seats are two facing lounges which will seat several more people, and a small wet bar with a sink and built-in icemaker. There is a bimini and a canvas cockpit enclosure.

The integral swimstep is about three feet wide, large enough for a PWC. Currently the swimstep is set up for fishing with a double bait tank and stainless steel railings with rodholders. At each corner of the transom there are molded-in steps leading to the sidedecks, a very convenient feature. The sidedecks are wide enough to allow easy access to the large foredeck. Other features include a reverse radar arch, integral bow pulpit, electric windlass, remote-operated spotlight, and four cockpit stereo speakers.

The bottom was painted with a high performace bottom paint (which was sprayed on, not brushed) in August of 2000.
