The Catalina 400 interior is wide and spacious with a large dinette to starboard and a long settee to port.  Light and ventilation is provided via overhead opening hatches and opening side ports.  All lighting fixtures have been updated to LED technology. The interior is trimmed in light teak wood and the flooring is teak and holly throughout.  The interior is meticulously clean above and below.  The cushions are an appealing factory blue, have no rips or stains, and show like new.  The galley is equipped with a Princess 3 burner propane stove with a hood that functions as an exhaust fan and light for cooking.  There is a built in microwave for quick cooking.  The stainless steel double sink and sink fixture sparkle and there is an additional salt water sink fixture.  The icebox is huge with a Adler Barbour freezer plate.  The owner reports that the compressor was replaced 2018.  There is a large dry storage compartment opposite the sink and teak storage cabinets for food and supplies.  The galley is positioned adjacent to the companionway.

Terrapin is a two cabin layout that could sleep 7 via two private cabins, a convertible dinette that will sleep two and a long settee that could sleep one.  The advantage of the two cabin layout is that you get the comfortable aft cabin with a large walk around king size ish bed.  Both the forward and aft cabin come with folding custom mattresses that make all the difference between a good nights sleep and and a back ache in the morning. There are two settee type sitting areas on either side of the aft cabin bed.  The aft cabin has his and hers ceder lined hanging lockers and a private head compartment with a newer manual marine toilet, mirrors, stainless steel sink, and a separate shower stall.  The forward cabin has a vee berth, a large overhead hatch, a private head with an en-suite shower, stainless steel sink, and a newer marine toilet.  Hot water throughout the boat is provided by an on demand hot water heater.
